[deleted post]well it's very simple,because the iPhone came in a time when touchscreen devices were utterly shamefull. And people bought the iPhone because if the tradition (that too is why nokia still has the biggest market share,tradition) but now when the touchscreen era rose,almost every touchscreen phone with a price above 300 euro beats the iPhone. Sorry to dissapoint you mate,but that is the truth.

[deleted post]first of all i phone is not cheap....so if ur thinking people buy it and keep it in the closet still it got first impression to make people buy it first...and well they dont put it in to closet unlike other phones.. the app store selling a lot of apps so much. where those money came from xD ..i pod touch user use crack apps mostly the consumer mostly are from iphone owners so no one keep it in closet...for god sake now it can evn run android now... xD
..u think kids buy it. those kids must be so rich ...so in japan i phone is the best selling phone also in the rest of the world u can go any iphone exclusive carriers website they will juz proudly show their iphone models in the website when it launched ...app store is quite awsome. in gaming platform . Nintendo even admit apple as the future competitor and for eBook reader.. not much to say....is growing bigger.. and com on admit it ur juz hating it becuz when u go outside 5/10 have i phone . without iphone in history u wont even see any good multimedia touch interface phones/app store/ all u see will be those megapixels/ HD recording xD thats it.... the difference between apple and other companies are quite simple/ the others satisfy what people want/apple shows the people what they need/for eg IPAD think abut it what is ipad :O is big ipod touch do people demand it? now people cant get enough of it xD .....think different ...

:C video is dissapointing indeed. . . another fail after the Omnia HD. . (actually I'm not saying it's bad or worse. . but you can find better camcorder phones like the Sony Ericcson Vivaz) but given the giant screen, powerful processor and Android. . makes it a good deal over the vivaz. . (but vivaz has a 8 megapixel still camera but it's nothing to brag about,with the raging 12 megapixel hopping around)

mp4 or avi are not video format. They are just containers. You can put mpg1, mpg2, divx, xvid or h264 formats inside an mp4 or avi.

u24me, 15 May 2010now this is rather dissapointing :( i'm waiting for this ph... moreno recording video in 3gp format is not limitation of android because x10 is recording videos in mp4 format even with android 1.6 not 2.1

With all these samsung phones just announced and released, I doubt this thing will even have support. It will have 0 firmware updates and will have the same crappy video just like omnia hd. Seriously. I dont get why people ven buy samsung. The design alone is horrible. Trying so hard to be iphone. Their ui looks like those cheap chinese iphone knock offs.

[deleted post]I´ve played with the iPhone. And I own the Omnia HD. Apart from the iPhone have a much smoother user interface, the Omnia murders it in almost every other conceivable way.
The Galaxy does look smooth! I like.

Why is everyone ripping the Omina HD? I have that phone it's sexcellent great to use out doors, turn 3G off and you get 7 days of use, yeah Samsung an't great on firmware but 3rd part firmware like Hyper X V4 is excellent speeds phone up makes better use of the battery life and recording HD videos is smooth. The chances are the stutter in the videos like the Omina HD was due to signal cleaning, once removed you get a tiny bit more noise but smooth recording. Chances are it's the same issue with the Galaxy. My Wife has the iPhone 3GS half way through her contract and she wants to replace it. The iPhone has a good UI and application support but fails on everything else. Plus you will get 1 days of use, if you are lucky, not really ideal!

wow best phone!! much more smoother than my htc Desire. desire cant even record video properly its so laggy framerate it sux. my next phone 100%. 4inch Super AMOLED baby!!! here i come!!!!!

Nice to see Samsung release another expensive phone that's all PLASTIC. Also, we can expect ZERO firmware updates if Samsung's past behavior is anything to go by.
I don't get it, they release a great phone body with S8500 Wave, but install Bada on it, but when we want a great OS with a great phone body, we don't get it.
I guess it's Nokia N8 super phone in my future.
