I've had a Samsung Tocco for a year. It used to drop calls when I held it really close to my ear and covered the whole phone with my hand (it was pretty small if any of you remember). This happened to me about... three times. And I don't remember ever struggling with a different way of holding it. BTW It only happened on 3G, never on GSM.

Samsung, Nokia, SE, HTC released a good number phones every year, so if any of their phone showed any kind of hardware problem than that could be usual. But Apple release only one phone in a year. They have plenty of time for research about their product. More over they claimed it the best smartphone in the world, so they have to use more powerfull receiver than the competetor. But they use a very weak receiver. So now there is no difference between a iPod and iPhone...lol

Maybe this will open fanboys eyes from their mind controlled state apple has them in and see how apple has ripped them off for year after year and continue to show consumers a complete lack of respect. The most probable outcome is the fanboys will be even more appreciative of apple for their 'valient' efforts to help their poor suffering consumers in their time of need with the iphone 4,after all in their views all these problems could not possible be apples fault...its the fault of android 'apple haters' jealousy

Just to set things straight with Apple fans. This is not your fault and i am not laughing at you. I am just amazed by the way Apple is handling this situation. They are basically making the fans into scapegoats to save their own skin.
You shouldn't have to be told by Apple how to hold your phone a certain way and you shouldn't have to be forced into buying a case for a brand new expensive product to work, that's not fair.
I can't believe that you iPhones fans are to proud to be angry at Apple for forcing their excuses on the shoulders om the comsumers, something here is just not right.
Apple should care enough for loyal customers to issue an deserving public apology and do something about it instead of just being selfish ba*tards, saving their own ass and dictating their ways upon you in way that makes the iPhone 4 serious shortcomings into your fault. That much they owe, at least an apology.

Hates the way everyone moans about the signal it only loses signal if u specifically grip it in a certain position, not as if you cant atually make a call or recive a text. It is the most advanced phone look at the things you can do with it when its jail broken. Apple ALL THE WAY.........

Imagine Volkswagen releasing the Golf VII. The best Golf yet with GPS, ESP, bla bla, faster, safer, lower fuel consumption. It has only one problem that can not be solved - every now and then the car turns off. You just have to start it again and continue driving. Nobody would buy it. Due to the laws of physics, the antenna issue can't be solved by changing the software. The only solution is a total recall. I was really going to buy a Iphone 4, but now, I'm gonna skip it and laugh about people who buy a phone with an unsolvable default error.

Apple is now simply tryin to cover the truth that indeed iphone4 is a failure. Configuring software is the best solution to hide the truth and could save them from most of the trouble (save cost). Why insist to pay a iphone? For the sake of market trend or peers' pressure? DO you really uses most of the functions in that phone everyday? I think it is time for the Andriod to climb up the top of the ladder.

I currently own a iPhone 3G, & the iPhone4 WAS going to be my upgrade, but as the aerial antenna is an issue that cannot be overlooked, why would I even want one anymore?....especially as I am left handed.
Apple Inc. & Steve Jobs have a blatant disregard for the HW flaw, & they refuse to do anything about it. Why are you okay, with using a product that drops calls on a seemingly continual basis in this era of mobile technology?

So Apple is making video calls a reality? The rest of the world have been able to make video calls for 4 or 5 years already ! Using my Nokia I can make 2-way video calls on either 3G or wi-fi to any Skype user in the world.....this is nothing special anymore...wake up Apple !

I just found out yesterday that the HTC Evo Clone Phone sold over 68 million units In China since march. It must be the best phone in the world!
