AnonD-472515, 10 May 2016HTC..just not enough..What do you mean "No fast charge". M8, M9, A9, Desire EYE all have fast charge option. CPU provides that. All have Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 capability. A9 have Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0. With HTC 10 you even get Quick charger 3.0 in the box.
And waterproofing is very important since you speak while showering or diving. All of the above models are splashproof which basically is what is important since it is "life event". As a matter of front speakers, HTC 10 has even better sound than before. And yes HTC 10 is between 2 best Android phones of 2016 with one of 2 best cameras, providing also great sound and performance. Hope that you fell much better spiting so much hatred ;) kisses

HTC has stopped making good phones at competitive prices!! New HTC Phones in 15-20k has similar specifications to competitor phones in 7-10k price range. I still have my original HTC Desire, (which I bought from Flipkart for 15k) which was a good buy. HTC still makes phones with excellent build quality. But now the top end HTC cost 40K, midrange priced phones have low end specs and there are no low end phones.

Its all about to change im sure.
          the 10 is perfect

Bad marketing strategy even after unveiling the phone in March it's not available across the world. Secondly specification has also lower down for Asian market than why they will purchase.thirdly Htc record in software update on is also pathetic.

I say price this @ $500 for getting more attention and presence in market, people are still awaiting for moto-x 2016, Xiaomi Mi5 pro and Oneplus-3.. and you have same average processor with weaker GPU.

This should be selling at $550 If not the less than 6P. Given the display is SLCD QHD, non equivalent stereo speakers as M9, average battery life, awkward touch capacitive button position, *Average* camera. HTC you better need to understand what you are getting is for what you are giving. I had HTC Sensation, HTC One X+ and I felt they were having pretty good builds with average battery life. You might be carried away by new comers like Moto-X and P9 If you don't price it competitively.

Manny, 09 May 2016Really!! $250? I bet you haven't gotten a chance to see HTC... moreApple iPhone 6s plus and the latest Samsung S7 edge are all around $250 range in terms of BOM. Just do a google search, you will find this information.

So, the key here is the volume. If the volume is big, like Apple is huge, the R&D cost on each phone will be small. Apple can sell near 200 million units/year. If each phone to get $10 for the R&D cost, total would be $2B.

It's no surprise, but they made a right choice to also focus on other than phones with the Vive VE and Re camera. The new HTC 10 looks very promising.

It was only $599 for the longest time and since you didn't pre-order it then shows you would have never bought one anyways.
