Antenna wars: RIM, HTC and Nokia strike back at Apple

18 July, 2010
That was one hell of an odd press conference on Friday. Typical Apple. Instead of just admitting its faults Apple decided to point a finger at the other mobile phone manufacturers and accuse them of selling...

PC World's Mike Keller has said

"I have an iPhone 4. Generally speaking, reception and call quality far exceeds that of my old 3G. In my own tests, administering the "death grip" (which I will note is a fairly unnatural way to hold the phone, in my opinion) without a case does in fact make bars drop, though it doesn't actually seem to make it less likely to be able to make or sustain a call. Consistent with reports, bars aren't dropped while using a case (I have a Bumper)"

So keep spitting bile and hate at Apple and Steve Jobs (wishing that he dies is very immature and makes you look foolish)

The truth hurts , but the fact is that this is just a temporary issue for Apple ,that will be fixed. The other mentioned companies will never fix the problems with their handsets or much less even offer an explanation.

      Defend the iphone 4?
How about reading some of these links?

Antennagate is serving to cover up the poor quality of AT&T's network. Hardly anyone in the UK experiences this. It's funny that they have remained quiet about it.

You haters are all making this out to be the end of Apple, but you're SO WRONG.

Experts around the world have been saying that this has been blown out of proportion.

you cant go by that BlackBerry Bold 9700 cause when its working properly it has the BlackBerry logo right beside the 3G and the service bars, now when it just says 3G that means that they might now have the BIS or BES added which could cause that horrific fualt and i have never expeirneced that except for when i was traveling in a car and we went under a tunnel but other than that never so apple as usual blame every other compnay but your ridiculas old self to apple with love from colin

How dare Steve Jobs point the finger at other companies for antenna design flaws! Apple has only been in the mobile phone market for a few years and as you can see they have a long way to go. They should just stick to making Macs and ipods.

What to point out that all Nokias I have used till date were really really solid in reception thing, no signal drops at all let alone call drops. Single piece can be faulty out of millions but that can not be compared to the case with iphone 4.

Hate you Apple, just because these silly things and childish attitude by your CEO. Had used many phones from Nokia, Samsung and SE (N900 the current one) from past several years but none dropped the calls however I hold.

apple will be better off without steve job...why?? becuase steve jobs ruined the image of the company and he think of him self being smarter and better than others well now google will teach him a lesson!!!

:)) This is clear to me! So, you attack BlackBerry Bold 9700,HTC Droid Eris and the Samsung Omnia II...why?Because in your mind you see them as at LEAST equal or BETTER than your new toy - iPhone4. LOL, LOL and LOL again. It's like this: "why don't you leave my iPhone4 alone?! Can't you see that even the better ones have the same problem???" To point the finger to other phones is not only childish BUT you validate the fact that your phone is inferior to those and that you have a big frustration towards those companies. Also shows you are very disparate! I was neutral to this Iphone thing...it simply wasn't for me(lacks alot of future I basically, daily need)BUT now seeing his reaction I feel pity for those who buy/bought it! :|

Well there is a silver lining for apple. Apple should patent this faulty antenna issue. So if another company make this rookie mistake they can make money out of it.
