Anonymous, 19 Jul 2010Look at page 13 of the HTC Eris manual and tell me what you... moreLOL. You are desperate. Do you realise that is standard on every phone that has an internal antenna? Are you criticizing every phone since the late 90's? Read the manual for the Nokia 3210 why don't you!
The difference is that you can hold a phone comfortably without interfering with signal with that standard design (antenna towards the top-rear). With iphone 4's 'revolutionary antenna' you can't! Hahaha.

Anonymous, 19 Jul 2010Look at page 13 of the HTC Eris manual and tell me what you... moreYes, it did point out but was it obstructing the antenna if users are holding it in a typical way. The manual was seeking users to avoid the areas but in actual fact, no one would make phone calls while touching the back of the phone. But do you hold your phone by the side? at least i do.
Second point, to avoid interfering with the antenna, such a warning, had long been seen in Nokia Manual decades ago. It was kind of them to inform users where are the sensitive areas of the phone, but did iphone did so? Furthermore, even if users were to touch on the sensitive areas, it would not constitute to call being drop as it would only weaken the signal strength but not cut off the signal unlike Iphone4, because of its design, it would short the antenna and therefore cutting the signal off from the phone. The severity of this Iphone4 antenna issue is that your call would drop. Apple is trying to brain wash consumer mind that other phones are facing such problems too, but in actual fact, other phones do not face call drop but instead just weakening of signal which, in most cases, still allow the users to make a decent phone call.
On the contrary, Iphone4 users are told not to touch on the sensitive lower left portion of the phone, which, a typical left hander would, in most circumstances, touch it.
IFANS are just too desperate to defend their almighty brand. They are behaving just like Steve

I'll give you a hint, it tells you where not to place your fingers in order to avoid interference with the antenna.
This was published by HTC a long time before the iPhone 4 came out, they knew about it then so why are they making a fuss now?

Anonymous, 19 Jul 2010Based on common sense. Lol, it looks like the haters are being dealt some of their own medicine. They can't handle reasoned debate. :)
But wait a while and they will resort to childish abuse. Overblown way out of proportion.

Anonymous, 19 Jul 2010Based on common sense. ohh, i see..is that your common sense telling you that? well, what can i say...good luck on your prediction. If iPhone 4 rolled out July 30 to other country what's out for this so you can see it. As reference, review the factual data that Apple presented. Review the previous sales of iPhone, then you can see at least a good prediction...

Anonymous, 19 Jul 2010The "evidence"?
A 1.7% return rate, 3,000,000 ... moreHow mature you are. But to put it in your terms: 'Apple consumers fail'. That means you, not me. My phone works perfectly well, I have no issues with it and it didn't cost anywhere near as much as your iphone.
While I still can't quite believe how Apple fans react to being treated so badly, it's not my problem. BUT what I don't want to see is other companies following suit. Mark my words, if I had ever paid so much for a faulty phone and was then told there was nothing wrong with it I would never use that company again. When a company gets away with ripping its customers off its the consumer that loses out.

Anonymous, 19 Jul 2010really? and what's the sales growth of Apple now after sell... more1.7m in 3 days means nothing. Apple fans want to be trendy so they want to be the first to have the latest product. So they queue up overnight (lol) and pre-order to be the first. Apple will not continue to sell 1.7m every 3 days, and at the end of the year this will not be the best selling phone. Other reputable phone companies' sales pick up once a phone has been out for a while and has proved itself.

A 1.7% return rate, 3,000,000 sold, that's the only evidence that counts.
Not some arm chair critic's opinion that "Apple are lying but I can't prove it".

Anonymous, 19 Jul 2010Do you have an example of Apple lying?
With links to bac... moreRead all the news articles and decide for yourself. Most of them are on here. There is no way to prove that they were lying (obviously) but it isn't hard to work out. It is discussed here: http://www.gsmarena.com/apple_finds_iphone_4_signal_bars_misleading_hiding_poor_signal-news-1783.php
Honestly: a phone that loses all signal when you hold it. Think about the rigorous testing phones go through before they can be released. Now do you REALLY believe Apple didn't know there was a problem? Do you really believe no one had ever held the phone and made a call?
Apples response to complaints was that there was no problem. Anyone can see this is a blatant lie from the evidence (with the exception of fanboys such as yourself).
