Waiting for N8, 05 Oct 2010I am using N82, I am not sure why everyone condenm Symbian?... moren82 is very good. symbian is too simple and barely sufficient on the other hand. if you are +40 then i would recommend you a symbian phone. but if you like having gadgets that you can push to the limit then an android is perfect for you.

i am using an iphone4, blackberry bold and nokia n97 right now.
whatever is the review, up to now, there is still no perfect os for mobile phone, symbian is still more flexible than the other os.
good or bad review, i am excited and waiting for nokia n8 to be available. i am confident that i should be happy with it.

I am using N82, I am not sure why everyone condenm Symbian? Pls tell me why symbian not good? I am ok with it.(one think left I guess the application that support Symbian) And I like my N82. I just have two complaint about N82 the screen is too small and no touch screen. The camera already replacing my Digital camera.
I am waiting the next phone to replace my N82. I think it already arrive N8.
A few point I think N8 is good is:-
-The camera ( but need to wait see the REAL review)
-The OVI maps, can be use offline, no need data plan which is expensive in malaysia.
The touch screen.
The aluminium casing.
The cons:-
The baterry **not change able (which I think Nokia don't wantyou to change it yourself.
Waiting the Phone to arrive in Malaysia and try it myself. And some fair/true (not bias review) about the phone before decide to buy the phone. Pls all give a profesional review.

It seems that Noah from
Phone Dog has got hold of
a Nokia N8 to review. His
first thoughts are up now
and he is particularly
impressed with the full
HDMI-out and the way the
N8 feels in the hand.
However Noah still has
some reservations about
Symbian^3 and the touch
input vibrations.

I received my N8 yesterday morning. I already have an iPhone and Android (Galaxy S) and ordered the N8. Kind of collector ;) What happened: the N8 has become my main device. Within 24 hours i decided to use it for all day purpose. I simply love it, no tricks to get results. Email is great, Ovi maps superior to anything else. It has the most features built in, and by far the best voice quality and reception. And the battery is amazing. I think Nokia did a marvelous job.

Anonymous, 05 Oct 2010N8 WILL SUCK .... just like 5800 N97 mini etc. etc. ....irr... moreThe least anyone can do before posting on any tech blog is check their facts and not be as ASS !
1. Not sure what you meant by "plastic body". It is aluminium and last when i checked it was still considered as one of the metals.
:-)
2. It is not a flagship device. Nokia never claimed that its a flagship device. Yeah this device kicks ass and is being compared with iPhone(which it easily beats in many areas) but still its not a "flagship".
3. N8 sucks? so u mean u have seen one, touched one and used one? OR are you just talking out of ur ass?

I have had the n82. Great phone, impressive camera... but the os is just pure rubbish because it's closed and closely guarded by nokia. you can't even make a simple software without a permission from nokia.
the besy move i made was that i switch to android. a totally open environment that gives you the freedom to modify even the kernel :)

Sorry but I lean on the side of saying that you are actually 'in the wrong' about over defending Nokia. The phones have been rubbish in the past (I know, I used to get their latest 'flagship' device and was always disappointed) and as they are still powered by the terrible and clunky Symbian OS, there is little prospect of them being any better than disappointments again.
Nokia produce too many different models and all of them are under-achievers. Why should the N8 be any different?
