Nokia N8 gets lots of stick in early reviews, we wonder why

I have been following GSM for years now.. and it's good to see someone standing up to highlight the unnecessary bias of other sites. This is typical of so many people to enjoy the leader fall. Nokia might have been a year or two too late in releasing the N8, but it does hold its merits very well even now. N8 surely seems the right step ahead for Nokia, who has been losing market share severly off late. For someone who has been following gadgets very closely, this childish bias towards or against some brands/models seems very lame and unprofessional.

The N8 had to well critised for the Delays that Nokia have kept going on it,an its was down to get pulled down more than praised, but Nokia didn"t realise this an they shouldn"t have Eldar have leaked the N8 in April,as this made Nokia more scared of releasing the N8 to early, everyone as the own thoughts about phones they review so sometimes can be helpful in choosing the right phone to buy but sometimes people just egnor the reviews an buy it because it the Brand you prefer,Allbutsymbian as a 1st Part review of the N8 an just waiting for Part 2 to come up showing the Symbian3 software, hope Gsmarena do us a review soon as well

No one is neutral, but as reviewers they should know better. Take all reviews with a pinch of salt. I hope the n8 does fantastically well for nokia(im sure it will). And i cannot wait for it to be released in my country

congratulations gasarena, very good and fair analysis, other analysis are against the N8, it is easy to prove a phone is not good, but the N8 IS very good, no questions, Nokia does great phones, pity they are so bad in marketing, Apple says the multi task or video calls are great, except that Nokia did it first years ago. I ask all readers to gave a N8 in your hands, and you will be very happy, anodised aluminum, not steel (covered with paltic for better reception!) amoled, HDMI, go USB, dolby surround, Xenon flash, 12 millions pixels, largest camera sensors. This is just what you can see on the N8 ouside, no phone has all of this, even the I phone 4! people a sheeps, be original, get the best the Nokia N8!

My opinion.
I think people are not enough crazy to let the story repeat again. I refer to what happened with the N97.
The main problem is people expect an eye candy OS just like the iOS. This is why people bash the N8.
You think if S^3 was acceptable (nowadays) Samsung and co would leave it? I don't think. The true always hurt but Eldare was just right in his first preview.
S^3 after, S^4 and between MeeGO LIKE people have that money to throw by changing every year or 9 months their phone? Hummm i've nothing Nokia but i don't even plan to change my E66 till a i'll see something like a E7 + zenon, 8mp is enough, + MeeGO.
N8 as lot of feature that any phone as actually but once again, THE MOST WANTED FEATURE THAT CONSUMER NEED IS A NO-LAGGY AND FINISHED OS.
Some will tell me the price is the best but let's see if millions of people will repeat the N97's story because N8 is cheap.
And once again, this is JUST my OPINION.
