Samsung pulls out the Galaxy S Froyo update due to bugs?

@ X10 fan - I'm with you. I love the X10 for all it's worth and it STIll ROCKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's better than the Samdung phone(s) where you are promised updates, but get s*** :)

And that's another reason why I love my sony ericsson x10, well yes I know you made fun of me because it took the company a lot of time to release 2.1, but at least it's much better than waiting all this time to get a buggy, unstable froyo!
My x10 is already fast, stable, and snappy. Even in several reviews people pointed out that it doesn't have some lag such as the SGS. And now my phone will even improve further after the latest upgrade to 2.1! Well no need to laugh on me now because both of us will have 2.1 right ?
And god only knows when will samsung release froyo again, since most of us know that samsung are really terrible when it comes to support and updates.

Yes nokia updates its phones, but update fixes (if it fix) one thing and makes a bug to another that has worked before.

I really like my SGS, and i do not mind to wait for some weeks more, if the update to 2.2 improves browser problem and more.

good luck with your Win7 phone, sounds like the old Apple OS for the iphone (1 task at a time) lmao :-P
as for the Nokia user i do like the phones has an N95 for over 2 years before going android, however the app store is a joke
but then it depends on your willingness to learn how to use the phone you selected and did you select the right phone for your needs
i love my Galaxy S and although i do have to do the occasional reboot, it works for me
battery life could be better but you have the same issue with all large touchscreens and if that was a deal breaker you would choose a blackberry, which for Nokia users bennifit knocks spot's off the Ovi store with app market

[deleted post]FYI SGS with Android 2.1 is waaaaay better than iPhone 4, Nokia N8, HTC Desire. Yes there is a small problem with Froyo, but you seem to have forgot iPhone 4 antenna-gate, Nokia's ultra outdated OS. HTC has its problems too, just look on their page forum.

Well, Samsung has many faults but SGS is a great phone.
I'm just happy mine has no lag or other problems. Yes Froyo is nice and to wait is hard, but finally Samsug will sort it out. If not, they'll lose billions, once the word gets out Samsung cannot support their products properly.
I just hope they get rid of Kies and put a basic C++ or java app instead which just updates and backs-up the phone, no fancy and untested .Net Framework crp.

OMG!!!! it's Omnia HD all over again! I never ended up getting the Omnia after what happened to it and how its owners were left stranded. Now I see the same be the case with the galaxy s. but i will be optimistic..... I love my galaxy, still say its the best phone i ever used but kies! eewww! i have a feeling it's not even made by Samsung, maybe by some pokey third party company.

Honestly speaking, first i want to appreciate samsung for a lovely device that brings life alive but, i am so disappointed with the galasys s battery life.
i cant use the phone for a complete day without charging it like 3 time within the interval of 6 hours.
i am very unhappy and i expect samsung to reply me personally on how to improve the battery life cos have done all modification as instructed in the phone to save the battery life.

Win 7 mo ? C'mon you gotta be kidding... The UI is awful ! I have a Zune HD 32G and never liked the interface. Thank God I use it for music only! Android is the future till someone jumps up with smth better, but that won't be Win 7 mo

this is called samsung...thats the reason Xperia x10 took this time to update to 2.1..to realese a stable lag free os...SE rocks...nd after this i would be happy that SE should take time as long they need to update to 2.2...at least it would be better than this..

still many of u who want to upgrade to a new device get an iphone4 or the X10

they were saying (before release) that it is going through last phase of testing. this shows their standard of testing.
