What a useless service the Trivandrum Plammodu Jio outlet people are offering. Today morning when I went to register an application for Jio, the way in which they have behaved to me is deplorable, if not rather offensive,The bloody bastard at the counter was behaving to me as if I am a beggar. According to him this product does not require the customers and they(the management ) knows how to increase the business. Shameful. I have been a customer of the Reliance communications for the past two decades. I never had such a nasty experience from them. poor Dhirubai Ambani!

Voice user needs to shell out a minimum of Rs 149 and data user need to shell out Rs 499

LOL, I can't believe how the 50 INR per GB is calculated. You have to opt one of their plans and then by mathematical figure you will have 50 INR per GB! But if one needs only 1 GB data that person won't be able to recharge with 50 INR only and have 1 GB data.
Also needless to say their voice network is beyond garbage.
Please spread your BS elsewhere Reliance.

I'm using Jio number since June 2016, and my experience is really great. I'm from Delhi and I get more than 30 Mbps download speed. So far I have used more then 700 GB of LTE data and it's absolutely free. Hats off to Reliance industries limited. This is what achhe din is.

an amazing post guys, as it mentions, u need to know what ur getting into in order to not over pay... the post covers a lot of angles so keep in mind those if ur thinking about going on JIO, seems pretty nice so good luck :)
also the ones with the service already be welcome to share experience for the newcomers as well ^_^

Im using jio sim too. And didnot find any flaws till now. Its working fine. Right now im in preview offer voice calls and messeges are free on own network as well as other networks.

It will be free. Provided you have a mobile with VoLTE feature. If you do not have a VoLTE mobile , you have two options
1. There is specific jio app for calling. But i do not know how reliable it will be. As we know apps might have bugs.
2. Topup your mobile just like we do nowadays.
But if you want to use Only data , you need not have Volte mobile. Any mobile can be used .

Jio 4G is supported in all phones which support LTE, only thing is if your phone doesn't support VoLTE you need to install Jio Join app and you need to call and receive calls from this app(data must be on always), since Jio doesn't have 2G/3G infra.
Other wise for data its fine.
I'm using it in LG G2 D802.

in essence all these users are going to use jio sims for the 3 months and then switch back to their old sims...nice one..
btw bsnl also has an introductory offer for its dataone and fibre internet connections, 250INR for 300gb..for 6 months...
while al this is happening i'm on a 1445INR dataone tearing through nearly 120gb per month
