I think the problem might have something to do with the Iris scanner, just guessing since it's the only substantial difference between It and the GS7

Once you've owned a 'Note' there's no going back. Most if not all other device will feel like a downgrade

This is one very good reason why batteries should be removable, and not built in.

In regards to whats going to happen next, I have just been on the phone to my provider they said they are asking for all Note 7's to be brought back, they will refund you your payment or change you to a different phone if you wish, in all honesty cant say if that's samsungs call to refund you or the provider either way not to fussed, yes it is an amazing phone, but moving from a note to a different phone is quite hard just cause of screen size and features but none the less I am sure Samsung will move on from this, any media is good media as they say.

            Note 7 = Boeing 787
Both Samsung and Boeing will survive though.

Armali, 11 Oct 2016you know this problem wouldn't have happened or could have ... moredude think about it, even with removable batteries, the first ones who had no idea it would've burnt down would still burnt down... also, the replacements had the battery changed and still having issues, so changing a removable battery would've been the same, u can at least agree to that can't u?? there's something else that's affecting the devices and Samsung need to come up with an official statement on what that is

Looking at this issue, I'm starting to think a heat control feature needs to be implemented, safety measures are always welcome. For instance if the phone detects that the battery temperature reaches abnormal levels, it bricks itself somehow, thereby forcing the user to actually take it in for service, mind you I'm sure the android community would find a counter to this, but doing that would be absolutely stupid. Some of the Note 7 explosions could have been avoided if the owners weren't so hard headed and had returned their devices to begin with.

Goodbye Samsung say hello to blackberry

Now go back to drawing board Samsung. I wish Note 8 will come with metal body, or just go back to plastic. This was the result of God (I don't believe in it anyway), as you used glass on mobile phone and now look.

Start being practical, that's what defined you guys. Or stay as followers of another utterly garbage company.
