Interestingly, some are looking to the Google Pixel phones as a replacement.

I woudn't buy a Samsung just because their phones suck. No dual sim+sd slot in the high segment and no removable batteries. And "mid"-rangers lack basic functionality like ambient light sensor and magnitometer. And they always have crappy speakers.
And now the note 7 problems. Samsung just can't make good phones. And as a "bonus", they don't want to. It's a combination of bad quality and bad policies. And high prices. "mid"-rangers are quite expensive. And yet they don't have the functions of a mid-ranger.

Anonymous, 14 Oct 2016only if u put back again removable battery feature If they do not include this function, will you use other seal-battery phones ?

We will hear it from Samsung in a couple of weeks. Also, the 3.5 year old Z Ultra recognizes a regular pencil to write on it, if they wanted to, they'd have offered a similar thing like the S-Pen.

Interesting. Only less than 100 were involved in accidents, that means close to 99% people had no problems with their Note 7s yet still "won't buy Samsung again". I'm fairly certain majority of those people will forget and buy Samsung again. lol

That's what Samsung deserved.... I appreciated the fact Apple didn't make any reference to Samsung 's exploding phones in their keynote: Samsung would have.

Automatic Rupp is surveyors Samsung sold 2.5 million notes Evans they surveyed 1200 people which is less than half a percent of total users using Note 7 obviously this is an apple apple promotion to switch to Apple and Samsung also we need to serve a 2.5 million people to know if they will turn off Samsung not 1200 people that live in the USA which is applebees uses

No this is not correct!! I still love Samsung. Believe me, even if they release Note 7 I will go and get it. Note 7 and their products are real value for money though they have kept the price high recently... Compared with Pixel XL and iPhone 7 plus, Note 7 (of course battery issues need to be sorted out) far far superior.

After the release of a new flagship, people may say: Wow, give it another chance...

I am definitely no Samsung fan as hate the release of so so so many models all looking the same. You just get lost in it all. But, I admire their professional response to this problem even though it should never have happened given the rush to market. Hope they recover.

i can testify that 100% of my friends who used s3 never ever wanted to go samsung..but thats the galaxy s series...currently no other phone comes close to note 7..and thats imo not because of computing power but the s-pen...the surface pen and apple pencil fail miserably at the productivity of the s-pen..i was hoping samsung will release a surface competitor tablet convertible with the spen..so i can finally ditch my old laptop...
an honorable mention to xperia z ultra..that had a pencil(as in your regular pencil) recognition...

Going to Huawei sorry Samsung buy you have alot of smartphones and you ruined the best smartphone this year. It shows they just greedy and not focus on flagship smartphones that almost killed so many people because of the note 7 incidents. Life is more important than a phone

Failure is part of life and what I really appreciate is Samsung's response after all this Note7 fiasco. I'm sure they have learned a lesson and will work over it. I am all for Samsung again.

I love my note 4. I feel its a corporate battle and a inside thing thats why note 7 failed. Roll back. Redesign and use previews generation battery. It worked well. Win some of the lost 40persent users back.
