I don't know what to think about this. It's interesting, but also somehow strange and doesn't want me to have it in any way.

There is nothing made by HTC without the word "disappointment". no 3.5 mm jack and 3000mah battery for 5.7". The lg v20 is clearly a superior product. Htc the disappointment continues.

AnonD-546038, 12 Jan 2017HTC late to the party again...
If they were coming out wit... more+10 on everything. What most people don't understand about battery capacity, is that it extends beyond necessity it also means goodwill. Why is it so hard for HTC to go above 3500mAh all these years may well never be fully understood. Regardless if an OEM can somehow excel at tweaking up the code side for maximum batt life efficiency it's also about giving users more value for their hard earned money spent.
And as far as HTC is concerned at their flagships it's never been the best bang for buck proposition against its rivals.

Anonymous, 12 Jan 2017Glass back is actually iPhone's design tooYes, the camera at the right corner is also Apple design. Rectangle round edges are also Apple design. And whatever Apple uses it's Apple design :)

Maybe the chipset of this phone and the u play is cz of the "assistant" thing and secondary screen .....cz this needs money to implement and leaves little money left for everything else...
+ Maybe HTC were developping the assistant for snapdragon 821 but then qualcomn announced snapdragon 835 and they didn't have the time and money to re-implement everything...
Anyway for me the u ultra is good and acceptable considering htc...but the u play is just no.
PS: anyway maybe there's something behind the scene that we don't know and that causes htc to act like this, cz seriously although with the above reasons i just can't accept the u play.
And sorry for the bad grammar cz i am writing this really fast.

HTC late to the party again...
If they were coming out with a 821 SoC they should've done it in November, not now that we are 2 months away from S8, MI6 etc with 835 SoC that will kill 820/821 in power/efficiency.
And...3000mAh battery...really? Even ZUK Z2 which costs 165 comes with 3500. Fail.
