AnonD-523334, 24 Feb 2017Whatsapp and many more stopped supporting even s60. Wikipedia says S30+ has nothing to do with S30,40,60 etc. and is something completely different designed for feature phones

People who never used 3310 will never get it. I feel like an old man amongst small children right now.

I don't know why was not a volition to expansion for Symbian,Maemo and MeeGo... !?
One good possibility: creating and reconstruction or recondition exclusive for Nokia's OS (Symbian, maemo, meego) in continue Dependences Decrease or Dependences Reduction to Android OS....

What the original poster saying is similar to what android wear is doing now except that the wear also should have sim support to act as backup phone. And regarding your car Analogy yes, some people stay closer to their office and come to work on a bicycle. You should not assume that the world follows your culture. i have colleagues who commute to work in bicycle for health and environment reason and go on a month end long trip in Royal Enfields for adventure and fun.

My original Nokia 3310 is still working. I paid £100 for it new. However, it is too thick and heavy. The original NiMh battery was replaced with a Lithium battery which did help reduce the weight somewhat.

I have never used a Nokia in my whole life, and i believe I'm not going to, but why to revive a very old mobile? ran out of designs? or do they want a market share by triggering some "memories" from their old users?

Why don't you just go away. Not everyone is you, many are smart enough to keep a basic secondary device around. Or those who just do not care about Smartphones at all will eat this up. There's nothing wrong with that... Just people like you who try to speak for others.

I see the word "nostalgia" thrown around new 3310, like there is something wrong with being nostalgic to old days, no one is fooling themselves thinking that a feature phone is better than smartphone when it comes to ease of use, but some of us don't want or need smartphone, making calls and address book is enough, long battery life.

Got VR making machine covered with Nokia OZO.
Got wearables covered with purchase of Withings (which maybe after MWC 2017 will carry Nokia brand except for "Withings A Part Of Nokia")

and many people are confused over HMD being Chinese.
In case you got the same doubts.
Nope, HMD is an independent Finnish(Finland) Company.

For the initial manufacturing of Smartphones and tablets, they have collaborated with FIH(Subsidiary of Foxconn)

Mother(advertising company) will help in advertising the new products.

This phone will initially be bought by some buyers fueled by nostalgia but will soon be dumped by them when they get frustrated with its severe limitations compared to even the most basic modern smartphone. Then it'll probably be handed down to toddlers to play with instead of a toy phone.
