Anonymous, 07 Mar 2017Samsung started copying iPhone since the Galaxy S6 which is... moreWell said. These are dark times when flash over function rules all. They now enjoy omitting features which is lame. I hope Nokia brings back balance to the Force. Nokia and LG, you are our only hopes. Don't give in to the dark side.

Thinking of getting another LG G5 for $120-$170 on Sprint. Use it for a decade. G5 is love and life for me. The new 3310 is starting to look better for me as a mp3 player/FM radio. 3310 is forever to me as well. No planned obsolescence from that $50 dumb feature phone.

No headphone jack for an already expensive phone considering the fact Google pushed headphone jack (*not new) in their Pixel first look?
        Death to headphone jack. 💀

AnonD-1825, 07 Mar 2017This isn't rocket science, it will happen sooner or later f... moreExcept when we want to listen to music and charge of phones, which is what, at least, all teenagers do whenever they have time on their hands. Then we'll be hurting until we make the tough decision, charge phone, or listen to music. Bluetooth just isn't ready to replace the headphone jack yet, and at the rate is moving, won't be for at least another 10 years

mir, 07 Mar 2017Let's not forget that Motorola did remove it first.Except they put it back in their later phones. Just look at the new Moto G5's, with their beautiful jacks

I don't care, there is nothing premium about omitting features. If the Pixels launch without a headphone jack, they'll be instant trash in my book. The LG V30 is looking pretty time right about now...

I expect just about every android oem's to dump the headphone jack if not this year, definitely next year. This year maybe though since they were well into the development of their phone when Apple took it out. I expect them to jump on the bandwagon next year for sure. Just like everyone adapted the seal battery, I expect to see the same trend here too.

Fizzy, 07 Mar 2017It's bad enough that the pixel looks like an iPhone and now... moreSamsung started copying iPhone since the Galaxy S6 which is the beginning of idiotic design trend. Today, Samsung is the Android's Apple. And unfortunately anything Samsung do, the rest of the Android manufacturers will follow them. That's why LG too adapted the idiotic non-removable battery/unibody/glass body trend with their G6.

LG G5 and V20 are the last good, usable and real smartphones of the world forever. The dark age of the smartphone history is here. The future is about the removal of features and changing the phone concept: they become fashion phones / status symbols solely instead of useful / real smartphones. There will never be any phone with removable battery, 3.5mm jack, IR blaster, FM Radio and SD card slot.

And Google want to be the new Apple of Android with the (i)Pixel. That's all. Nothing new. Nothing good.

LOL they would look the biggest hypocrite if they ditched it now. Google Pixel was poking fun at Apple for removing headphone jack on their reveal commercial.

I wonder why Samsung still has p2 on their phones. Sammy loves Apple.

I don't buy Google Pixel anyway, because it has non-removable battery and the dumb/featureless stock Android. The lack of 3.5mm jack is one more reason to not to buy Google Pixel.

Year or two and we hardly miss the old jack
