Android marketing is expanding very fast, and Google are working on different payement systems, and making it more attactive for developers, Take Angry birds developers for example, they made it free on android, Angry birds Rio is free on Android and so is all their releases. But others are working more, And SOny will release they PlayStation Suit to every Android hardware Capable device, and Nvidia released their Tegra Zone, and the Games on it are amazing.
Did you see Assassins Creed on Android?? everyone said that it has better graphics and better in all Quality than the one on Iphone.
One major important thing about APPSTORE and AndroidMarket
Apple takes 60% of every app being purchased, which is not fair for developers, while Google takes less than 7%, which is seeming more appealing to developers now.

Now htc will introduce 1.2 GHz Dual core. The Game is on

And Google will implement Hardware Acceleration just like IOS and WP7 then even SIngle core processors will run any android version smooth.

All of android handsets offer technology light years ahead of apple, and lets be logic and tell you a bit how.
Android has had Wifi Tethering for more than a year now, while Apple only made available a month ago and only for Iphone 4 to push their customers from iphone 3g/3GS to buy Iphone 4.
Android handsets began with dual core processors and now 3D Screens and 3D recording and soon 3D Video calling.
After this summer Quad core CPU's will imerge and Nvidia talked about Tegra 3 being Quad core, and other will make dual core 2GHz, while apple will still be talking about the Lauch of Iphone 5 with A5 Dual core 1 GHz chipset, late again.
So you see apple is destined to lose greatly

here is whats gonna happen:
1- there will be no wp7 till 2015 ...maybe wp but not wp7!!!
2- android grow fast in thr next 1 or two years but then it stopped and its share remains at 30 - 40%
3 - ios apple has its customers and due to growing rate of iphone sales and apple market share there will be positive growing in ios market maybe up to 35%
4. symbian will completely out cos its not smart!!! or less than 10 percent

Let's see n wait, if microsoft thinks this sheet is going to get there phones running well it may not turn out so but one things for sure Nokia fans are bound to wind up at windows phone 7 and see symbian die so Nokia fans might as well as start using windows phone 7 in 2012.
Other than that Android will rule the upcoming years for sure atleast 2014-2015 as far as i know and there future seems pretty bright considering availability in almost upto all decent ranges.
Though luck to Apple! Blackberry n other may your spirits rest in peace with oldies :)

1. Microsoft WM 6.5 was the number one OS world wide, they did it, and they have the minds and the resources to do it again
2. WP7 supports hardware acceleration just like IOSX which is very smooth but in most cases it is Smoother than IOSX
3, Many Experts say that the future of widgets is Tiles, which microsoft already is using
4, Microsoft will eventuall add all the missing features up, and they have thousands of Developers for the app market
and Nokia has its Global loyal Fans(Im not one of them, HTC, Android for life)

Sure .if Nokia keeps announsing theyr phone models like they have...
Meaning that over 50% of them are crap...
This means that win7 will rise like an rocket, but the devises are from an place where the sun doesnt shine.
Commoon i got my hand on E7 and 10min's later it was ready to be booted...

Maemo/Meego can steal the show if peeps kick some sense into Nokia decision makers's minds to drive it... additionally they'd need to forget about Ovi/Symbian and jump on the open source apps development bandwagon...! if Nokia should ever slump in the smartphone market, it would be due to their misguided motivation today... All money on the unspoken black horse, Meego ftw!

IDC will be correct with these predictions. If there one company that can make WP7 popular, it is Nokia. And Nokia isn't dying. Get off the pipe. They are losing ground but are 2-3x a better phone seller than #2. They will continue to be popular in Europe since they are the only European powerhouse in the industry (sorry, Ericsson). Most hardware manufacturers are either Asian or American. The top four OSes by 2015 will all be North American. Nokia can dominate Asia and still be #1 in volume sales. China and India have population in the billions. Indonesia ranks 4th in the world. Asia is the most populated continent and the new frontier on how to expand marketshare. That is fertile ground. Apple will never be bigger than Nokia in Asia or Europe even if Nokia continues to flop in the U.S.A.
This is based on global volume sales and Android and WP7 have multiple OEMs to give them variety. One size doesn't fit all. WP7 is only 4-months old. Give it time to grow. iPhone didn't even have official apps in its first year. Android was still niche in early 2009 when it was only 4-months old. People are still stuck with contracts. Rome wasn't built in a day. By the end of 2012, WP7 will be no worse than Top 3. BlackBerry will become too niche like webOS even if QNX looks superior to all of them. Popularity vs quality doesn't mean the same thing.
