WP7 will go second by 2015, iOS and BlackBerry will lose ground

30 March, 2011
The analysts from IDC just published their forecast on the smartphone market development in the next five years. Apparently the company has some sort of crystal ball as we can’t see how else they...

What a bull*** analysis!!! WP7 will never pass the 10% mark. Nokia will lose out and eventually abandon yet another failing Microsoft mobile OS. This analysis does not take into account the iPhone (mini) Apple will release later this year which will double its market share.

Pfft... analysts... what do they know? They sound just like Steve Jobs when he said that 4" screen bricks would never be successful! Right! Although we are talking about Microsoft here... Is it possible they also want to monopolize smartphone OS as they did with PC and notebooks? Ballmer and Gates only know...

The way I see it, aside of its "own" Symbian Nokia is well advised to run a double strategy, one WP7 and one Android. I would take bets that both WP7 as well as Symbian will get lost sooner than 2015. Do you remember Microsoft's Kin? That's what's gonna happen with WP7, too. At least I won't support it, and reading all these posts here, I'm afraid I'm not exactly alone

AnonD-2025, 30 Mar 2011Wow . . . . . . and exactly what will drive WP& sales again?Did you not read the article or do not understand "English"? What will drive up the sales of WP7 is Nokia. Nokia is still the undisputed king of the mobile world when it comes to sales, they have a hardcore fanbase in Asia, Africa and parts of Europe that accounts for about 40% of the worlds cellphone users, take or add 1%. Microsoft teaming up with Nokia is a kick in the teeth for other brands. Seperately Microsoft and Nokia are already huge cause both world leaders in their segment, but put together they can kick the living daylights out of anyone. Just think they are reaching out to both Nokia fans and Microsoft fans with one single product, and a fanbase that big can not me ignored. Steve Jobs probably had a heart attack when i heard about the fusion.

Bless them. some one somewhere has been paid to make false claims that in 4 years time Windows will be second in the market. Really. Well if the world actually survives to see 2013 then i would be happy to put a bet on that this does not happen.

wp7 is never going to second position unless they step up their updating process. i mean first of all they release a half cooked OS that is very late to the market and on top of it takes many months for them to implement simple copy paste ! at this pace it would take them decades to cover up their long list of limitations. even bada is much better , it is an OS with full range of functionality that too made by Samsung ! shame on ms. no way wp7 reaching second position unless ms speed up and show some commitment.

WP7 2nd in the world? The biggest laugh in computinh history! In fact -and some posted this b4 already- WP7 will pull down phonemaker Nokia into the nirvana of insignificance. This is what happens if a misguided ex-MS manager ends up leading Nokia. So sorry for Nokia, so sorry!

Cod3rror, 30 Mar 2011How can I get a job as an analyst? It's the easiest job in ... moreFirst, Apple is not a Master of Hardware as 60% of it´s hardware is manufactured by Samsung.

Second, Android is faster than any version os iOS. Do not blame the OS because the Home Screen App is slow. But I don´t expect for you, a retarded fanboy, to understand that Android let you CHANGE your ENTIRE Home Screen because you use a fail iOS system that is locked.

Third, Nokia users don´t give a shit for Symbian. They like Nokia for it´s amazing hardware and fail proof design. If Nokia sucessfully integrates WP7 with it´s Hardware, will sell a lot.

Grown up. Apple has an amazing marketing task force. Join that with the "one product only with one OS only" and IT´S EASY to build.

People who really enjoy their mobiles looking into a technical perspective, will never use iOS or iPhone. iPhone was built for regular people which has no intereting in making their mobiles something personal, only pratical. Are you one of that? Because if you aren´t one of those people, than you´re just a retarded Apple fanboy and does not worth talking.
