Removing 3.5mm jack is a big "NO"!!
Since Chinese phones have been pretty much copying Iphones from the UI to actual phone design it isn't a surprise that they finally jumped on this bandwagon.
Let's see what Apple decied to do next and everyone sadly will follow.

Battery size increased from 3000 to 3350? OnePlus 3 had 3000 too, whereas the 3T has 3500 despite the 3.5mm headphone jack

i wait for the day when phones will be without any ports and any jacks and power ,volume rockers on hardware,that means the phones will charge only wirelessly,and listening to music wireless too,or with some of new connector type

Ah yes, I remember those days when my Sanyo SCP-5500 had only a "2.5mm" headphone jack or my Sony Ericsson T610 (aka 616 here) had a proprietary charger. Those were some confusing times. Even mini-usb wasn't standard yet. People can praise Sony but they were guilty of the proprietary nonsense prior to Apple. Even in music files, Sony had a different format.
These are just lame excuses by manufacturers to confuse and tick off people even more. I will not support this movement. There needs to be a major benefit behind it if they want to omit legacy features. I don't mind USB-C becoming standard but why not have both ports? USB-C still isn't widely accepted especially in other products like automobiles and stereo equipment.
I was reading comments on the iPhone 7 section and laughing at all the folks getting annoyed that it doesn't have the headphone jack. The 3.5mm standard was actually NOT commonplace with phones until around 2006-2007. Many phones from 2005 or prior were feature phones and did NOT have a 3.5mm jack. Check the Motorola RAZR V3 and it lacked any. You needed a mini-USB adapter to use 3.5mm jack.
I hate those times and I currently hate the one now. 2016 was the last great year for smartphones. Pick up the iPhone SE, LG G5, V20, S7 edge, Mi 5, Pixel, HTC 10, and whatever phone that still has it. Pixel 2 might lose it this year too. I probably would pick up an iPhone 6s over the 7. I like the space gray since it doesn't show smudges like the matte black 7.
Rather have the jack back than water-resist since I live in a dry climate and rarely swim. Would miss out on the dual speakers though. Sad tech world we live in when losing legacy standards like IR blaster, removable battery, headphone jack, and FM radio becomes a new feature. This planned obsolescence stuff really does suck.
Looks like I will use my G5 and V20 until the day I die or they die on me. Imagine if car manufacturers decided to remove windshield wipers? That's what these idiot mobile companies are doing to us now. Hoodwink us to get something newer. DO NOT GIVE IN.

BS. There are many phones the same size that have bigger batteries and a headphone jack.
Consumers shouldnt buy phones without a 3.5mm headphone jack.
We can control them this way.

It's not just headphones but also (and more importantly) car-stereos, hifi-sets, desktop (PC) speakers etc...
How many people use their smartphones as satnavs in their car, hooked up to the cars audio-system? Probably a lot more than you realize. I'm one of those. And when used as satnav you NEED to charge and play audio at the SAME time due to the fact that GPS-usage uses way more battery-power then just simple audio-playback.
What kind of monkeys work at these manufacturers? And how old are they? Todlers?

Their "reason" "Xiaomi says that USB-C audio is now becoming more common.." is a complete LIE! USB-type C headphones are NOT common at all. This USB-audio nonsense throws us back 15 years! Remember when Sony-ericsson and all those other idiots used used each their own proprietary connectors? How fun was that. How did those morrons at SE called that ridiculous connector that eventually over time got greased with crap so that it became completely useless. Fastport! With that ridiculous thick plug sticking out under your phone, breaking of. While the port got greased over time it was sturdy unlike this USB-crap. I have more faith in the durability of an 3.5-jack than a fragile USB-port. Not to mention that you can charge and use the jack at the SAME TIME. Which is needed when you use your phone hooked up to the cars stereo-system as a mp3-player/satnav-system.
I'll boycott every phone without separate audio-jack and will encourage my friends and family to do the same. Let's see with what lame excuse those bloody manufacturers will come up next year when their sales don't reach their "expectations".
In this case the phones don't get sold in my region so I don't give a fuck.

I've read a lot of comments praising the lack of headphone jack... However, they rely on the usb c port! And you can go to Amazon or eBay and there are almost no usb type c headphones in the market right now. And none from any mayor brand. If the trend is that option, why there is no big names of the sound accessories industry launching usb type c headphones? And the adapaters are not so cheap. Mostly are two for 8 bucks. Not expensive but not for a dollar either. And no one says the quality of the sound will be the same using those adapaters. And Wireless headphones still can't offer the same quality of the wired ones despite they cost more than (for example) a good cheap pair of Panasonic RP-HJE120.

However, it also has pins for an analog output, meaning its quality will be on par with the 3.5mm jack, while getting rid of a useless-ish port. The main problem is that it means that we have gone from 2 ports to 1 port, meaning phones have less connectivity. I would love if someone put 2 USB C ports and no audio jacks, while also bundling an analog adapter from 3.5mm to USB C.

Hmmm, well, disputable, disputable for so many reasons, because it's not exactly like that. For example, 1 it takes just a little of the internal space and 2 we can mention a whole list of models with the same footprint/size as that of the Mi 6 but with a bigger battery. So mostly it is not that the real and prime reason. Don't get me wrong, because I really like Xiaomi, and I always compliment myself with them for all the good jobs, but about this regarding the 3.5mm jack, I think they are exaggerating a bit or/and following a bad kind of trend.
