OnePlus 5 jelly effect is natural, the company says

29 June 2017
OnePlus reassures people that it uses "high-quality components", but the bottom line is that you shouldn't expect a software update to fix the problem.

They say it's natural cause they can't fix it. It's probably hardware related and I'm sure they don't want to handle recalls. haha

Sometimes i fail to understand this. Youtube has lot of videos comparing Galaxy S8, Iphone 7 , LG G6 & OP5.

Whats wrong with youtubers? I can understand Galaxy S8, Iphone 7 & LG G6 being compared together. But where the hell OP5 came from?

With all due respect to OP, it is simply no match to flagship phones from Samsung, Apple & LG. The only selling point for OP is 6GB & 8GB RAMs. Seriously?? A smartphone with Noughat or OS11 does not consume more than 2GB of RAM let alone the 6 & the 8s.

As long as people will get something to boast of, they will keep buying OP. Like "My phone is shit but i have got 8GB of RAM bro":):) ...I dont know shit abt RAM management but my phone has got 8GB of RAM bro:););)

I mean with all due respect, for how long we customers will keep biting the bait from these Chinese Manufacturers. 500$ phone with no OIS??? No dust & water resistance?? "But hey...My phone has got 8GB of RAM bro:);)..What have you got:):):):)

      Apple's are always costly.
OnePlus here just brushed aside this issue saying it's natural.... So those who are facing this issue are left in the lurch... Not a great sign for this company and its customers....
Moral: No matter what it would be better to opt for an established and reputable brand than these cheap brands.

I honestly don't see this jelly effect happening. I've only seen one video of it and no one uses their phone/scrolls pages up and down repeatedly the way the person did. Either this issue is not present on all devices or it's barely noticeable. Hardly any cause for concern.

This is too ironic. They are supposed to have raised prices by claiming in part that it is to increase customer service. And now instead of showing it, they refuse to replace the possible units with defective screen because it is "normal" that there may be defective screens(displays) in certain units ... Supreme, another "plus" for them.

A very natural and special feature only available for just a handful of proud OnePlus 5 owners!

They refuse to accept their mistakes. They are not even trying to do something about it. They should at least offer a replacement for the affected devices. It's amazing that how quickly they closed the case (pun intended).
In case of Samsung, red tint issue is actually proven to be inevitable. It happens in all Amoled panels, heck even lcd panels have this issue but not that apparent. At least they offered a replacement and trying pushing some software updates to somehow control it. This is what you should expect from a good brand.
