      [deleted post]So you are now the mobile market analyst?!? Your prediction is totally opposite with the real analyst, go check out.

      Did you use the WP OS Phone which has not yet been released by Nokia? Or you are saying these based on the current WP phones on the market which are sold 1.5 million to date, where Android sold 67.2 million in 2010. So 67.2 million are geeks?!?

      Wake up buddy, it’s time get out from the La La land.

      By the way if WP OS is so awesome why on earth you are using N8?!? There are some good WP phones on the market, use one. You don’t even trust your own judgment! And you are asking us to trust you!

      So, please go cry somewhere else, fanboy and please think before posting your immature thoughts & predictions! (There is reason you were given a brain, use it)

          @hitit

          no, you will not loose anything, all your data (music, video, pics etc.) and apps will be saved, only the icons on the home screen(s) may disappear, but you can put them back again in any order you want

                    [deleted post]You shouldn't troll pages like this, if you're happy with your Nokia N8, then that's great, but the moment you start comparing it to big hitters (i.e. pretty much any top-level smartphone) it doesn't really add up - the N8 LOOKS great and has an AMAZING camera, but in terms of OS - it has been universally (users / techs / reviewers) slated.
                    I suggest you post comments on the N9 page, which looks nice but again, I reckon you'll find a similar situation, nice looks, but an OS that lacks support / focus and long-term viability...
                    Bring on the Nokia Windows phones - as it will only be then when they start coming into their own again, if it's not already too late...
                    I don't think they can ever compete again against the likes of Sammy / HTC / Apple (possibly SonyE if they get their act together) - they've lost too much ground and Windows Mobile will never be that mainstream...

                      More importantly, Darky has released version 10.1 of his ROM which is based on Gingerbread and offers a far quicker platform. It's totally stable and has taken the performance of my SGS to new heights. I'm hitting 1600+ on Quadrant Benchmark.

                        [deleted post]Nokia fanboys are so hilarious and always have been. I used symbian for many years and it was very good around the time of the original 7650 (about 10 years ago), but nokia failed to progress the OS. Your N8 is the same as most pre dated symbian phone with a nice case and better cam (nokias age old story). There are many sensible reasons as to why most nokia symbian users ditched symbian and went towards android.

                        Enjoy the dying/dead OS the N8 is running and i hope you welcome windows phone 7 with open arms lmfao!

                              hitit, 23 May 2011i am new to android. do i lose my apps when i update using ... moreIt doesn't remove data from drives. Be it internal or on sd card. All your apps will be lost as the phone is changing the os and becomes factory reset. It will even reset all your phone settings. However, it is all worth it as makes your phone perform faster and better. Keeping the settings back to what it was takes few minutes....

                                  You won't loose any of your apps if you update via KIES.

                                    Comes with TouchWiz 3 but TouchWiz 4 has already been ported to it! See XDA forum. Reports are that its slower than TouchWiz 3!
