Anonymous, 04 Oct 2017The iPhone 4k at 60fps is the real dealWith all my respect, no. Or are you going to edit videos and with a separate audio recording equipment so that it has the same audio quality as the phone's camera and then mix them? The image is not everything, only a part.

AnonD-705263, 04 Oct 2017Absolutely no way the single camera on Pixel is better than... moreThe sound in the videos recorded with iPhone 8 Plus was really desilusional for me compared with cheaper phones. Let me doubt that it in the iPhoneX it'll be better till I hear it. It doesn't matter how good is the image if the sound is bad in a video. Only good or the better if what matters for you are the photos and nothing more.

Firstly, how does that sub-score translate to 98? Secondly, did they just regress in sensor size and quality and just slapped some nice processing on top? The samples don't really look that spectacular. How is that possible?

Absolutely no way the single camera on Pixel is better than the iPhone X's dual camera with advanced hardware/software/machine learning processing, portrait lighting, vertical dual ois. No way.

How can a phone with single camera lens has the same quality result in Bokeh effect, compare to Note 8 which has same score, 45? And even Note 8 and iphone 8 plus get smoked in video results. Not to mention that they are using Pixel 2 instead of Pixel 2 XL.

I miss a parameter in that DoX benchmark and even if understand that they are centered in image. I ask... What about the sound in the video? It doen't matter if your video has an excelent image quality if after record it you are forced to delete it due a horrible sound quality or the level forcing you to edit it if posible.

Even between to models of the same brand de difference can be high:

I'll never buy a expensive phone (again), without take in account how good it the audio recording video.

Camera on the Pixel 2 is the only thing I am interested in. Waiting for GSMArena's review of the Pixel 2 to verify the DxOMark's results which seems kinda shady because its just got officially announced today. It would be nice if Nokia reintroduces the PureView technology in their upcoming smartphones, that thing will destroy every other phone in terms of camera performance.

Anonymous, 04 Oct 2017In your opinion a youtuber has more knowledge about photos ... moreLOL... He said that because in youtube videos we can watch the actual footage of the camera so we can personally decide if it's good or not. They record the footages live from the camera when testing a camera. Have you ever seen their videos tho?

When the iPhone 8 been tested, Apple fans the people who were always to discredit DxOMark they celebrated and they loved DxOMark, then Samsung fanboys were one of the people to accuse DxO with bias, when the note 8 scored high as much as the iPhone 8 "despite both cameras performances are noticeably deferent" Samsung fans celebrated they love DxO, now after the ridiculous high score of the Google pixel "which barely been announced few hours earlier" both Apple and Samsung fans are discrediting DxO. Hehe

I'm not in love with Google HDR+ algorithm.... moreThere is a version of the Google camera with different processing modes. You can use it to correct for a yellowish tint if you have one. I had a magenta tint on my photo's with a Xiaomi MI5 using the app, and it corrected it perfectly.
