Apple will soon rot. When Steve made that small bite on the apple, it left apple exposed to oxygen and thus begin the degradation process. They forgot how to properly preserve an apple.
Just like the windows phone, they kept close the windows and failed to see and they failed.
Android is the future. The green robot keeps on evolving. Soon, they will invent new letters to bypass the limitation of the alphabet (it stops at Z).

Does Apple really think stupity comes with the rich? They should have considered that we buy their products because of experience. Limiting the performance drastically ruins the experience. Their reason is for stupids. We could easily change our batteries if they inform us there is a need to, we have the money to buy an Iphone right? This is stupidity at its finest. First, they think we are stupid because we will not notice the performance change. Then they think we are more stupid by giving this flimsy statement. What happened to Apple?

There is no alternative to the iPhone if you're fully invested in iOS (iCloud and all). Not everyone is well versed in tech to risk migrating ecosystems.
So it becomes easier to understand why it's hard (and too time-consuming) for many people to switch from an iPhone to literally anything else.

gan, 29 Dec 2017lies lies and more lies....if apple really cares about cust... moreby your logic almost no smartphone manufacturer cares about it's customers............. non-replacable batteries are more the result of design choice and the market preferring designs which are more possible with non-replacable batteries.............

No company, can benefit from making its devices worse. It just increases the likelihood of people switching to other brands when they upgrade, not to the brand that they think intentionally ruined the performance of their old device. Planned obsolescence might work in segments where there isn't a lot of competition and your customers have have no choice but to buy from you, but not in a segment as highly competitive as smartphones where every misstep can lose you customers.
Based on above sound logic, Apple action is weird. Either they are over-confident, stupid or greedy, I have tendency to think the latter is the reason for this fiasco, albeit even the least motive in them is enough to judge.

So it's a $29 Apple apology for something users never asked for and with money still going to them.
I stopped using my iPhone SE because of it. Will be relegated into an iPod. We should all boycott Apple products. I'm now using both my LG G5 and V20 with removable batteries and couldn't be more happier.
This is still WRONG. Apple already got hundreds of dollars from unnecessary upgrades. They continue to charge $29 for battery replacements when they created the problem in the first place!

Author needs to understand that its a defect and not a feature. I dont want iPhone 8 to become iPhone 6 in a year.
