Have any of you guys watched the ads for these new phones yet? Nokia couldn't be bothered to make total new ones and have the same two guys from the Nokia 6 (2018) and Nokia 7 plus ads!!!

You people are spoiled af. Look at the prices. Look again. Now look again. At the prices. And again. Yeah. These phones are cheap, stop expecting anything but cheap internals.

Phones look good enough for the price though. At least from Nokia.

Ugh, 29 May 2018Insert *DISAPPOINTED* meme anywhere on that page. Literally... moreI got me Redmi note 5 global 3/32GB version already cause i cant wait that long for when Asus come available to buy with that 160 euro range while i already got 3/32GB black version for 172 euro and there is gold version and rose gold version that go for 150 euro too.

And well xiaomi looks better then asus. I have one old Asus device that i still use and thats Nexus 7 2013 tablet. I doubt that the Asus will be budget of the year but it will share it with Xiaomi for sure thanks to it being in the market already and i have used it for a week already so i still cant see this asus on sale jet for 160 or less.

Insert *DISAPPOINTED* meme anywhere on that page. Literally anywhere. They chose bad CPU/GPU combos for all their phones, strange OS choice on the Nokia 2.1 and quite oddly didn't shrink a lot of bezel. So those phones seem about as appealing on paper as testicular cancer. I'll still hold my hopes they make the x6 globaly available if not the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 seems to be the king of budget devices for 2018 even with the microUSB, the lack of fast charging and metal+plastic back you still get a lot for a 160 euros. Sure the design is a meh generic 2017/2018 looking phone, but the specs and price put it a good way ahead of the competition. I mean why pick the Xiaomi redmy 5 pro for more money with the same spec sheet? The Nokia x6 is the better choice simply because its SO GOD DAMN BEAUTIFUL and it has the 2018 bells and whistles like a usb C and a functioning EIS not to speak a much better camera setup that fully justify tje 90 euro higher price at least in my opinion.

LG Superfan, 29 May 2018The only phone interested me is Nokia 2.1 seriously stereo ... moreThe problem with the 1.2 is the 1 gig of ram , honestly 2 is min and 4 is max, yea some "people" would argue that they need more than 4, but I have tried phones with more than 4 and have found no noticeable difference in performance, unless you are one of those aliens that need to switch between 50 apps every minute and you need them all loaded constantly.

                Well, not impressive.

The only phone interested me is Nokia 2.1 seriously stereo speakers on an entry level most flagships.lack that and other phones have bezel large enough for front fingerprint scanner and capacitive keys

Testy , 29 May 2018The only selling point for the 3.1 and the 5.1, let's face... moreI dont see it as a selling point. I like budget phones and i have had most of my phones Nokia's. Nokia 3.1 have same cpu that my last Leagoo Kiicaa Mix that i bought 8 months ago for 90 euro. It had either 7.0 or 7.1.2 android on it with freeme os. I sold it for 50 euro week ago when i got my redmi note 5 global 3/32GB Black version for 170 euro. Gold version and rose gold version cost even 150 euro. I dont care much for the updates and i am budget phone user that is under 250 euro so i can buy it out when i need one. I prefer to have better hardware so it will run apps better for the money and not updates for the android os. Sacrificing power over software updates is big fail from my point of view.

While phones today are not made last forever cause they mass product them and if all the people in the world would have phone that last forever, then there is no need to make more and there for dont get money for them anymore. If you cant make new one's cause everyone already have one and dont need a new one. So then you buy a new one in every 2 years. Some even every 6 months. I have had mostly for a 2-3 years. With my last Leagoo it just had too many flaws that ruined the experience. It had good dimensions tough 142mm x 76mm x 8mm , 153g for a 5.5 inch screen phone 16:9 1080p IPS screen. 77% screen to body.

These new Nokia's 5.1 , 3.1 and 2.1 all have so low performance hardware on them and phones are made to 18:9 screen with large bezels that make them in size like all the market full of 5.7 inch 18:9 screens.

Why bother to take Nokia brick when you have so many better options that will not slow down your apps or games with the updates on old hardware.
I have no clue what so ever what is MediaTek Helio P18 in here it says octa-core 2.0GHz.
Well that can mean what ever. Like MTK 6750 shows octa-core 4x1.5GHz + 4x1.0GHz that has Antutu score of around 40 000. I have no clue about that Helio P18.

In the end it's up to the buyer who wants what and how much he/she knows about these things about the devices they buy. What they need and so on.

I for one dont think that there are so many dummies around that go for brand name with updates over usability with games that need better benchmark to run better.

The 5.1 was ticking all the boxes until I read "mediatek"

Bought Nokia 6.1 and it is amazing phone. Very happy that don't bought Samsung.

Now that this added budget confusing series is out of the way, it's time, really time to pack a punch at the top end, with power, character and personality.

They're now going to release hundreds of models and confuse people and loose money in the process. Just like HTC and LG and Sony.
Also using mediatek so there goes good custom ROM support.

wooty, 29 May 2018MediaTek processor? Nokia you're making a huge mistake!Mediatek is fine for general users , since they offer decent performance at lower price in low-mid range phones..

With project treble , updates will be much easier now..

And 5.1 has type c if you check on the site

Hmd sales will be far higher tbis year with these ! Just hoped the front facing dual spkrs were on other two models as welll ....

And for those wanting an Android Go phone (anyone?'), at least the bezels are not as big on the 2 1. Plus you have the added bonus of lot bigger battery etc.
