I have Z from 2012 and still play Pokemon go on it with minimal lag 😂
            I also have Xz1compact and I didn't encounter such problem .

Although oleds looks different than LCDs, but It doesn't mean it's not accurate. Maybe it's yellowish or bluish when you compare them side by side, but it's not oled only. even if you compare two lcds the color will be different. I use google pixel, which has oled, and my secondary device is now a Realme with very good lcd. The colors on pixel is way different, when I move from realme to pixel, and at first it seems irritating. But five minutes into it, and I realize every time, why oled is the future. It is in reality much closer to the original, that is to say Gsmarena reviews are great. Yes oleds are have more accurate colors. Now blacks are black, contrast is infinite. Oled is clearly the better one. Now sony is a great great brand. Their Camera, TVs, audio. top of the line. Look at any Youtube video, comparing Sony vs Samsung TV. Look how Sony fans are bashing Samsung, because Sony has Oled and deep black and colors. So, instead of being bias, you can accept the fact.

[deleted post]I'm not sure if even 200 people bought one of these phones - I haven't spotted _any_ new Sonys in quite some time now. Guess they got sick and tired of this 'deal with it' mentality.

Nothing new. Sony phones have been plagued with display issues in the past, and Sony still hasn't addressed that. My old Z3 compact (which I gave to my cousin) suffered display issues (lower part of the screen where the navigation buttons are) where it is non-responsive and only screen replacement can fix it, other people I read have suffered the same issue. Same with other Sony phones.

Inasmuch as like Sony phones in terms of Android UI (close to stock), I'll be staying away from them until Sony finally addresses those issues.

Dr. Chillo, 22 Jun 2018WTF are you talking about it kid ? must you talk about a su... moreWell obviously you lack eye for the color and that's ok. You are just a regular Joe using small OLED display. OLED cannot produce white, it's always tinted either yellow or blue and it switches in frequency depending on the tilt of your hand. Samsung has it, Apple has it. Above everything all of the small OLED screens flicker compared to LCD and that's really annoying. It's kind of like starring at 60Mhz CRT all over again. I don't expect you to notice it as your eye receptors are probably not trained or they are lazy to be aware of it but it does affect your brain just like 60Mhz CRT did.

W... moreHahaha, I bet you have never used a Samsung flagship, use one and you will realize that Sony is stuck in 2013, and there is an option to manually adjust individual colors on the Samsung flagship phones, not only that there are options which make the display easier to look at if you are color blind or have any color impairment with your eyes. Protan (red-green) Deutan (Green-red) Tritan (blue-yellow) you can even personalize this.
Meanwhile us Sony guys.. we don't even get a blue light filter nor double tap to wake/sleep lol, forget anything else, ya need to manually add that to your phone using ADB commands from your PC.

Oh FYI, the only phones I have seen screen burn-in is on the display phones at Samsung showrooms and that too older model like the Galaxies S7's and the burn-in is barely noticeable, mind you on these phones the screens are turned on 12 hours a day at maximum brightness. So unless you plan to spend 12 hours a day on your phone with maxed out brightness, I won't bother with any burn in nonsense.

Literally all it takes to fix this issue is to put a nice piece of antistatic plastic between the screen and the rest of the components. Gets rid of waterproofing and the issue.
