I was all set for the prime if sammy let me down..i will defect to the iphone 4s ..the balls in toot court samsung we the consumer do not want to wait ....

a) because an opposing company's CEO died one week before.
b) its a hoax to freak out android fanboys or
c) they realised that after the 4s did they dont
need to hurry to launch their item and will
polish ice cream sandwich a bit more.
I choose (c) as my safe bet

if you are one of the applefoolboiz why dont you go gget your iphone 4S and be nursing it around and wait 16 months to get another iphone 4T and another 16 months for another iphone 4U

We still cannot come to terms with Steve Jobs death, We were expecting a lot of more breath taking innovations. The day Jobs died I had hoped that Samsung n Google should postpone their event, and very thoughtful of them to do so. They have lost their vigour for competition, Steve Jobs was their inspiration and someone to lock horns with.

I guess it looks nice to say that it is out of respect for Steve Jobs, but in my opinion it is a business decision pure and simple. Launching any product this week or even this month, will result in it being drowned out in the press. They just want to wait for things to quiet down, when press is more ready for a new product launch.

The Delay probably could be that they have realised some of the Application features have been copied from Iphone 4S. And its times to rewrite the software....

According to mr. Anonymous under me , they officially declared it's due to steve's death.
So it was either steve's death or tech flaw
Guess that surpasses my tech flaw theory

I think its purely out of respect for Steve Jobs, it'd just look bad if they went on and announced the device after Steve Jobs' death.

Update: Google's explained why the delay. Works for us.
"We believe this is not the right time to announce a new product as the world expresses tribute to Steve Jobs's passing."

If Sammy can upgrade their 10.1 tab in reaction to apples pad2 then the opposite is alos possible: Here's the danger if this was in reaction to the i4s announcement which was so disappointing: since i4s did disappoint even the fanbois, maybe samsung-google are now DOWNgrading the specs of the prime in reaction to apple's misfortunes. maybe sammy-goog had planned a true superphone which however would have turned out very expensive - but now after the underwhelming i4s they no longer feel the need for that so they're going to make the prime simpler and cheaper/ more competitively priced? I hope not but it's a thought.

with no iphone 5 released they will now come up with the speculated tear drop design of iphone 5 and a 8 MP with lower f .....with dual led flash

I just hope its a hoax. I was all set to buy this device by the 20th of this month.
if it turns out to be true, i guess i'll have to stick to the Galaxy s2. Considering that it is almost 6 months old now, i was thinking to have a go with Nexus Prime.
Lets see how things turn out to be.
