It is interesting to see that Nokia-Siemens have lost out. I know that they make great quality networks for alot of countries compared to others like Alcatel. Just goes to show how good bussiness practice can win out over quality.
Its interesting is all.

well, i hope wp os will be great. but i am wondering...why not nokia try android? instead of wp os? and, will wp os help nokia's sells to bounce back up? its a sad thing nokia is dying. :(

AnonD-4697, 20 Oct 2011LoL I'm just a poor boy that like camping and going outdoor... moreDon't be a hater! With ovi map for exemple if you want to have the map of Japan or other country and are from north america you have to buy it. It's not free. With Google offline mode everything is free and with the combine power of Google navigation & Vlingo incar how can ovi map can beat that. I'm sure you did not know about Google offline line mode.

i think nokia have best navigation application simple updated for all world countries not like google map and include all issues its fabulas but they should improve GPS signal reciever samsung much stronger in catching GPS signal and stable that keep the signal, but nokia now go away cuase dated hardware and the symbian which is not suitable os for touch phone and the latency in response when opening and closing apps after being nokia fan for 8 years i switch to android i feel the differance btwn like the differance of windows7 to windws 95.

If Nokia's next quarter result is another flop then it's clear that people don't want WP regardless of brand.

The really sad thing is that Nokia seem to be making some of the best hardware that they've made for years. I think that many people would still be prepared to consider Symbian if Stephen Elop hadn't done such an inexplicably effective hatchet job on Symbian on his arrival at Nokia.

It does seem to be the case that Nokia's failure to strike a deal with Google which would allow them to preserve things like Ovi store and maps was the main reason for them not jumping on the Android bandwagon. However, by sticking in their lot with WP7 they seem to have bought a very expensive ticket on the last train to nowhere.

With the likes of RIM struggling, it seems to be that the space in the marketplace of the future will be occupied by fewer rather than more mobile operating systems. A lot of potential WP7 customers have already gone to IOS or Android and I can't see WP7 offering anything to win customers over from the big two.

Nokia is in wipeout mode. Switching to a more unpopular OS than the one it dumped, and going to war in the low price market that will soon be dominated by Chinese manufacturers- it all points towards Elop turning on the self-destruct switch! I have used Nokia since 1996 but finally purchased Samsung Galaxy S2 after frustration with Nokia dumping its OS

I like to use my android phone as a usb mass storage device and simple drag and drop of files is not supported by windows phone 7 so will not be buying a Nokia. Geez nokia u should of gone android or at least used both windows and android. Such a waste of a company! Seriously windows phone sales are seriously low why take the risk? Go android! With ur nice designs and great multimedia features and android u'd sells loads! Slop going to destroy nokia.
