The Scientist Pigeon, 20 Oct 2018Gradually tend to what once called "Affordable Flagship" ... moreYea it seems they releasing chronologically before getting to 9. First it was the 3.1 then the 5.1, then the 6.1 then the 7.1 then the 7.1 plus now the 8.1 ...so seems like the 9 will be December-Feb announcement.

That said, wasn't the Nokia 8 Sirocco meant to be the Nokia 8.1?

I have had some great photos, especially since the PRO update. Sure, it wouldn't be the kind of camera experience to find , when you have history of legends like the Lumia line up in your name. Hope the Nokia 9 is just that.

Gradually tend to what once called "Affordable Flagship"

After these, 9 is coming nearer as true flagship like what was started from Lumia line up.

It could be a mid range gaming phone

7.1 is actually having upgraded soc. 636 vs 630 on Nokia 7.
7.1plus is also an upgrade over 7plus. 710 vs 660.

In this 8.1 case, i believe Nokia 9 will take Nokia 8 position as a flagship.

Freelancer, 20 Oct 2018I don't like this naming convention, but apparently: X6 ... moreExactly what I think, X7 for wathever reason is gonna be China limited and 8.1 a worldwide release.

This way they can remove (what apart the NFC ?) things chinese don't want and give them larger screen on the X while charging less.
The non X will have NFC, smaller screen (+ other ?) and charge those more but less than their Samsung competition.
