No wonder. My iPhone 6 is replaced by the Nokia 5.1 Plus, but I intentionally planned to replace it with the iPhone XR. However, for 859 euro I am not going to buy the "cheapest" iPhone. It is worth maybe 500-550 max, if they had priced it that amount of money, I would have been using the XR now instead of the Nokia 5.1 Plus.

I agreed that the prices are Ridiculous at best, and Atrocious at worst. and for the performance they offer. they SHOULD stick to a fairly cheap convention. I don't expect an iPhone X2 to cost 400$. but something that would be NORMAL? A Flagship in my opinion should rest at 700$ or so. with a flagship KILLER should be priced lower. MUCH lower. Ofcourse. it's FINE that you will disagree with me as you got different POV than I do. and you can think that anything above 500$ is a PoC.
However. Please DON'T call people in names. you can say "I disagree with you. because. A. B. and C." but "Are you drunk?" it's insulting.

Just those prices kept many of my friends from upgrading. Some went for Android and they are very satisfied. So, it's not GOOD business if ur customers are leaving u or skipping yearly upgrades.
There is nothing to justify the current prices of iPhones (same's also true for some android flagships as well).

I have iPhone SE and would like to get another small form factor phone from you, Apple. I am not in a hurry to buy new iPhone since this works fine but I am not buying larger or more expensive model to replace this ever. I rather switch to Android than have to give up on small screen and headphone jack. I you make another small size iPhone with newer chipset and camera. Thank you.

What Apple did wasn't only unethical, it was indeed illegal in many countries. How gutless and un-impartial the government has behaved on this matter has been shameful to say the least.
As someone who uses Macintosh, I'm disappointed with the current lineup. And I know my stuff when it comes to these matters. If you had look at any recent teardowns, you would've known why there are a lot of issues due to deliberate cost cutting despite the fact the prices have only gone up.
There's a great chance my next laptop might come from the likes of Lenovo or HP, and I will invest in an expensive 2TB nVme in order to multi-boot it with Windows10 Pro, Linux, and Hackintosh. This is the route that me and fellow professionals have taken, if you weren't watching the scenes.

They'll never achieve true luxury status as long as they're playing in all price points. They should just create a separate brand for the Galaxy S series, similar to what car manufacturers have done (e.g. Toyota - Lexus or Nissan - Infiniti).

:-) Samsung slavishly follow Apple's pricing, in the face of competitions from China, will surely be a recipe for failure.

That's just how it works. If you have the resources go buy that iphone. Deep inside you want it, but you just can't afford it. But seriously, iphones are just waaay too expensive. Consumers spoiled apple by purchasing way above what it can supply. So apple made more iterations at even higher prices. They can't go lower. Too bad consumers can't keep up this time. Apple has to live with that.

Huawei & Samsung Mobile can only dream of getting $84 Billion in revenue in ONE quarter LMFAO. Even with reduced projections these numbers are nothing to scoff about.
