People are forced to buy new phone because they don't get the updates?? No, average consumer (which constitutes to the majority of sales) doesn't care about update to the point of buying new phone. Just see the Android version distribution, You would still find whopping 46% of people on KitKat, Lollipop and Marshamllow combined. they are 3-5 year old versions. Lollipop itself has about 20% which is 4 year old now. But if your phone works slower from when you purchased due to an artificial throttle you didn't know about or were not even informed let alone asked for consent, yeah that's definitely a reason to buy new phone cause your manufacturer didn't bother to tell you to replace battery when you complained about slowdown. They admitted doing it 11 months later and are still doing it only this time providing an option to opt out of it. And what's the point of boasting longer support in terms of software updates when your devices can't function with similar efficiency even a year beyond the purchase. It's all cost cutting , knowing their batteries are mediocre and causes them to throttle phones barely a year from purchase, you would hope them to improve battery capacity significantly but NO they went ahead and REDUCED the battery capacity from iPhone 7 to 8, this exactly is the reason why Apple never specifies battery in terms of absolute capacity, cause they can get away with this kind of cr@p .... Even now after admitting replacement of battery being one of the reasons of slower sales, if you still can't realize how fraudulent this practice is, you are never going to see it.....

People complaining about Apple products.
I don't care what is happening to apple and this is like the first time ever it declined. Android needs Apple, it needs competition or else android wouldn't be what it is today, nor IOS.
I am an android user but i won't blame people buying Apple products.
Iphones are awesome products with good performance and build quality as it is with huawei, samsung and even oneplus/xiaomi.
People say iphones is expensive, the majority of all the people that buy iphone get them through a carrier, paying only a fraction of the actual price.
Many people don't even know how expensive iphones are since they don't pay the full price.

Apple will never reduce their prices... that's Tim didn't admit high iPhone XS prices was the main factor behind the low sales...they want to maintain their premium price and profit per unit sold.
Only 1 option left...
Apple needs to charge more for services provided on iPhones to recover the $50 billion lost today...very easy and simple...not complicated to do... watch the price increases on apps in their Appstore

And could you not see the reality of what you said about the ram and apps.
Android can run on lower ram like that too. But apps can't.
Low ram amount was a key factor into the world lead of app crashes ios had. As well as the system being bogged down.
All too make more profit. Less ram costs less money. Smaller battery costs less money. Low storage costs less money. With higher storages being more insanely expensive.
Expensive repairs, batteries that don't last as long and degrade faster because they were smaller from the start, weak ram and storage for future updates and apps.
It all adds up and people refuse to see it that way.
It costs then less to make, more for you to buy and repair, and then forced you into the need of an upgrade. Where they make even more money.
