sony 8gb of ram? something wrong

For now, the score of XZ4 produced on Geekbench (as well Antutu) through by its 7nm-fabricated-Snapdragon 855 looks convincing and promising, as Qualcomm has push itself to the edge this time. And makes the overall aspects of XZ4 shaped-well and great.

The Snapdragon 855 is one beast! *drool*

With Android Oreo I think, Android basically took over the basic idea of the RAM management with compressing apps in the background and so on. I think that „proper multitasking“ is just a fandroid excuse that isn‘t true since the release of iOS 7.

Sony tends to be qu... moreI agree but when it does arrive its implementation is far superior. 2 examples are OLED and Dual Camera setup. Samsung was always the king of LED until Sony used it in XZ3. Each and every review online says XZ3 has the best LED screen
Similarly dual camera on XZ2 Premium were the best low light shooters until triple camera trend started with Huawei and ofcourse single camera of the Pixel 3.

The XZ4 is shaping up to be a better phone than S10+. Sony really deserves good sales this time.

I'm not doubting Samsung's dominance but those specs don't mean much.

If your phone needs 8GB of RAM for any kind of situation it means it's not properly optimized let alone 12GB. But in eyes of consumers more means better just like with big battery capacity. There are numerous cases that show how bigger battery runs out before the phones with less battery but with better power management. The list goes on.

Is that how geekbench score them, i didn't know that. Why did they choose the Intel i7 6th gen? Besides probably being the 6th gen at the time, but you know, why that particular setup?

I still have some doubts about the XZ4. Sony tends to be quite late on tech. Compared to the Samsung S10, see the specs for S10, as it comes with Exynos 9820/Snapdragon 855 and either 8GB or 12GB RAM :
                                      Screen size: 6.1-inch.
                                      Screen resolution: 1440 x 3040.
                                      Screen aspect ratio: 19:9.
                                      Rear cameras: 12MP, 16MP, 13MP.
                                      Front cameras: dual cameras.
                                      Chipset: Exynos 9820/Snapdragon 855.
                                      RAM: 8GB/12GB.
                                      Storage: 128GB-1TB.
