I wish Samsung would have a loyalty program. For people who have bought into their ecosystem for a few generations of phones.
The pricing is almost Apple Territory (minus expandable storage, free mediocre headphones, no headphone jack, much lesser RAM and NO 1Tb variant, and other rubbish). I seriously hope the cameras and processing are class leading. The Note 9 May be last year's best phone, but these prices are seriously high. Samsung needs to also find ways to trickle down specs to the mid and lower end.

Nah, after Note 4 there's nothing to buy. But it's getting worse each year.
Previously they had models with curved screens only (that are fragile and have annoying glares); now - in addition to that - prices have gone completely insane. 1600 euros, really??
Seems like Huawei will become number 1 by EOY 2019.

Arash111, 22 Jan 2019Good job, Samsung! Can't wait to see you fall apart like No... moreSamsung's more "affordable" phones are their biggest problems because they have far worse specs than every other phone that cost as much! Samsung sell cheap budget hardware at the cost of midrange phones, while most competitors sell flagship hardware at the cost of midrange phones!
At 1600 Euro their flagships become irrelevant!

Technology is supposed to become cheaper every year? Paying this much for a phone, that can not really do anything more, only be fractions of a second faster, than a 100 Euro phone, is a total waste of money and a waste of our, Earths, resources!

Wrong move Samsung , while Apple is planning to lower down their prices but your pricing is going the wrong way. I hope there will be no decline in sales.

It's a race with Apple to see who can release the first phone prices at $2000!

Hm ... What to buy? A good phone plus a good DSLR plus a used car, or a fancy new phone which will be obsolete in 3 months? Decisions ... Decisions ...

Adrianulus, 22 Jan 2019I really don't see the problem with the prices. I mean, you... morenot in Europe this will start at 849 euro and upwards for other models. The S9 is 699 now nearly 11 months after launch and S10 lite will be better than the S9
