Sony Xperia XZ3 camera fails to impress DxO Mark reviewers, barely beats XA2 Ultra

The camera mostly does okay in good light, but it runs into trouble in low light and high contrast scenes. Corner softness is a constant issue too.

    Never put any expectations on DxO unless iPhones or Huawei

        Looking at test samples here there is way big difference to the sides of sensor, low light and overall processing. How it's close zxp or xa2ultra. Xperia1 is way better however

            it took them 6 months to review XZ3 whereas Dxo will give highest to Huawei p20 pro only 1 day after its release. what a joke

                I have XZ2, Had XZ Premium, My wife has Samsung S9.
                And XZ2 makes best photos of all three..

                Even comparison tool from GSMARENA shows the result thats differ from DXO paid opinions.

                              Looks like Sony didnt pay enough for test....

                                Despite reviewers stating the fact that the camera found on the XPERIA XZ2 have improved quite a lot as compared to its predecessors, which should be superseded by the XPERIA XZ3, the XPERIA XZ3 fails to overtake the XPERIA XZ PREMIUM, which is a high-end flagship from 2017, and is ranked a few points above the mid-end smartphone, the XPERIA XA2 ULTRA, pretty weird to be honest. Of course, these results are to be taken with a pinch of salt, and this applies to every other smartphone DxOMark has reviewed since the new protocol was announced and used. Heck, I still trust GSMARENA's reviews more than DxOMark's, regardless of how less analytical it may be

                                  Hey, it's just a score. And Sony deserves it. They said it themselves that their camera is not good enough for today's competition. Hopefully, that would change with their Xperia 1. Btw, the most important thing for mobile photography is not the device; it's the person behind it.                                     Sony itself admitted that they intentionally make their phone camera bad so that people are free to buy their compact and dslr.
                                    So there is that.

                                        Its very strange how every Samsung phones,even phones in mid range are all perfec in all that reviews across internet,but every other phones are full of bugs.Sometime,i think that Samsung phones are overpriced just becouse they have some budget for paying all kind of reviewers all over the world.Pretty strange is that Sony,LG,Nokia,Motorola,Alcatel,Huawei,all of them are good but not perfect,but when it comes to Samsung,everything is perfect,literally every Samsung phone are perfect(even if they not).Very strange.Just saying.
