Netflix, Amazon and Google Play have 21:9 movies you can watch on Xperia 1 and 10

08 April 2019
Sony reshaped its flagship and mid-range line with UltraWide screens for 2019 and wants you to know there's plenty of 21:9 content out there.

Anonymous, 09 Apr 2019And Xperia fans are praising the oled screen and multiple c... moreOLED screen that is much better than the competition (you see, the Xperia XZ3's display, which is supposed to the Sony's FIRST attempt at an OLED smartphone, nearly made any other OLED smartphone screens look pale in comparison, and the average consumers loved it more than any other screens they've seen on a smartphone).

Multiple cameras that actually work better (Huawei boasted about superior low light capabilities when they debuted a monochrome sensor for smartphone, but it never made a difference until Sony showed it with the XZ2 Premium's ISO 12800 video and ISO 51200 photo capabilities with the help of AUBE™ Fusion ISP).

Besides, Sony fans didn't hate the use of OLED screens, rather the OLED quality being used. They hated the yellowish/reddish Super AMOLED panels from Samsung, but they love the natural look of P-OLED screens from Sony.
They didn't hate the use of multiple camera system, rather the implementation of them. They hated the depth sensor that serves absolutely no purpose in photography/cinematography, but loved Sony's use of monochrome sensor that actually improves low light capabilities of the phone and the telephoto & ultrawide lens which makes the phone more versatile.
I will make the Xperia 10's depth sensor an exclusion, but its main camera still worked better than the common dual camera setups we've been seeing from other brands lately.

[deleted post]Let's assume that he's a real Samsung hater.
At least the points he made were all valid and reasonable, with a lot of proof to support them.

Compared to Sony haters, who make bold claims without evidences, and made-up stories with no credibilty at all.

Those rumors came just in time when Samsung still had enough time to restruct their Galaxy Fold to have a 21:9 display as well.
The 21:9 display is aimed to provide better multimedia viewing experience on both ends, only that Sony did it on a normal smartphone while Samsung used it on their unfinished product.

Anonymous, 09 Apr 2019the real truth is: no one care about sony phones anymore. And that answers which of the questions that I've asked??
Obviously your only main purpose is to hate, but you could've done a much better job than this.

This is an odd expensive device. I see not even a single reason to pay so much for this phone.

[deleted post]Lol, i like sony and i like samsung, but this is so subjective of you. I personally think that phones with 21:9 are stupid (way too tall) and the only useful thing is watching movies which not many people do.

And of course all users will appreciate no notch or speck on their screen.

At least they logicaly should appreciate it, if they are not bias against the OEM in any way.

So your logical deduction here is invalid.

Samsung still insisted on taking away the water resistance feature of it on their own flagships.

Xperia XZ Premium wasn't a great seller either, but why does the Galaxy S9 of next year (after the XZ Premium was released) got the same 960fps super slow motion feature of the yesteryear Xperia flagship??

Xperia Z got background defocus back in 2013, and again, it wasn't a great seller. I wonder why Apple took that idea and implemented it still, if Sony wasn't even a threat to them.

Xperia 1, 10, and 10 Plus were announced with 21:9 displays. They aren't selling well either, but why is the new ZTE phone rumored to have a 21:9 display as well?
Why does the Galaxy Fold also have 21:9 display if Sony's features aren't that threatening enough for them to worry about them??

Heck, even Xiaomi's wireless headsets that cost $40 don't feature LDAC capabilities.
One thing for sure is, Sony bluetooth headsets sound better than their competitors' counterparts.
