Unless you are using your phone for gaming all flagship phones have more than enough CPU power and ram.

The real differences is price, support, design, UI, battery life and camera.
-Price: Apple is most expensive. Huawei is cheapest.
-Support: Apple is the clear winner due to OS upgrades for years. Huawei is the worst but seems to be getting better. Huawei doesn't upgrade their midrange phones at all while Samsung usually gives them one major upgrade.
-Design: This is a personal choice. Personally I prefer a smaller and flat design.
-UI: This is a personal choice. Personally I prefer the new Samsung UI.
-Battery: Huawei is leading this category. You usually get larger batteries and power usage is lower than Samsung. My Huawei P30 usually only use 1-2 % during the night while my Samsung A8 uses about 10 % by itself.
-Camera: The cameras on the back of Huawei is constantly topping camera test. The selfie camera on Apple and Samsung is better than Huawei.

I went for the P30 because it gave most value for the price I paid.

AnonD-558092, 01 May 2019Ah I see. Guess that phone went under the radar. My mistake... moreYup debating about which one is the first was kinda dumb on the first place. No matter what brand does it first, or better after that, are always welcomed. We got the benefits on which phones to buy base on our most needs on a smartphone, with greatest value. Not blindly by the brand of the phone.

About the Kirin performance, yes its true, though comparing a SD660 with SD855 is too far off (regarding flagship Kirin vs flagship SD). And using CAD on a phone is pointless. I'm an Architect, has a PC setup for that BIM usage (Intel i7 Xeon + Nvidia Quadro).

I'm very impressed with the quality of huawei smartphones.
When my Note 4 died (exactly 1 year ago), I had to buy Huawei Mate 10 because samsung did not offer ANYTHING comparable with the flat screen, and in addition to that nothing that would be priced reasonably. So Huawei Mate 10 it was.
What impresses me is that even though 1 full year has passed, the phone is still like new - especially in the battery department. No degradadion, and everything is blazing fast.
No wonder I've been recommeding all my friends to switch to Huawei all this year.

People keeps buying the likes of Huawei, Oppo, Xiaomi because they are cheap. Their growth is mainly due to their cheap budget devices. Here in my country each Huawei or Honor devices which came out, every single time it is the same thing. You hear mind blowing photography, AI there and AI here. Every single phone by them......the same ads. What people dont realize is that to achieve that, a lot of cost cutting had to be done. Cost cutting where you do not see it. Like inferior bluetooth and inferior wifi chip. I am not saying inferior in terms of quality but in terms of range, speed and more.

I am not an apple fanboy but you have to give it to them by always putting the best available piece of hardware in their phone. Android phones slow down after 2~3 years and sure you can make them breathe new life by installing custom rom but it is too much hassle. And even that it will come to a point where bugs or again the phone slowing down will be a problem again. Hats off to apple for updating their phones like that and I have no idea why no one realize it but when an update to iOS is out, it is OUT for every phone. You dont get an article that says this phone or that phone now. And this phone and that phone planned for latter. I saw some videos of the Iphone 5s on youtube running the latest iOS and it is a SIX year old device. Hats off. Find the videos and see. I barely saw any lag..or anything that would make it not possible to use that phone today apart from gaming on that small screen. I still have friends using the Iphone 6 and its mindblowing. Both have only 1GB of RAM only and yet the experience is amazing. And both run latest iOS putting my 5 year old oneplus to shame which is stuck on android 6 Marshmallow

Never understood why IDC fails to acknowledge that Vivo and Oppo are in fact part of the same conglomerate, the BBK Electronics group. Once you have that knowledge, the landscape is looking pretty good for them (BBK), much higher up the pecking order.

Then, we're not debating about which had the best quality, but which was first.
And, you'd honestly have a hard time telling between a Snapdragon 660 and a 855 because they are both more than enough for the average user. Obviously if you have nothing better to do than playing junk phone games such as lamenight or poop's under burp gas and can't be bothered to select a lower quality level, then you will notice it. Worthy phone games are usually not so taxing on the SoC so anyway it's useless. The Kirin performance is on par in normal usages because normal usage won't require all 8 cores to run at 3GHz (even though technically it's by cluster, so all 1/2/3/4 cores). And anyway you won't render CAD on your phone so ultra performance is irrelevant. However on single-thread apps, you will notice the SD855's Prime Kyro core.
