How funny to say...like China doesn't manufacture over 90% of global hardware chips of which Huawei is based in...lol...They don't need expensive US chips...they will make their own chips and laugh at the US...
The sad part is that a real war is on the horizon though...

If huawei can make all its hardware in house then the big issue will be OS, given that the market is dominated by app and android and both use google services also the smaller OS's also have dipped their toes into googles pool i cant see how huawei with its own OS will ever get off thw ground. ZTE all over again?

I'm so proud to be an American and a low-key Donald Trump supporter. If China was so innovative they wouldn't shamelessly copy and spy on American companies. Face it, China needs us more than we need them, we can always find cheap labor elsewhere.

the allegations against huawei have been substantiated by the united states. even here in the philippines, a group of i.t. experts have shown how huawei has bugs that allow china backdoor access on huawei network equipments. this really has more to do with their network devices and not smartphones itself. well, there is a possibility the u.s. is actually doing the same espionage to china and other countries, but google and android is owned by a u.s. based company, so it's more of really being that huawei is getting the punishment it deserved from the u.s. than because of the trade war.

But it's clear that they must do it, peharps together with other manufacturers too, and secure its future without the oppression others want to impose them. Sure that from now things will change a lot along the time. This is a big red flag for all manufacturers to take care about any posibility upcoming. And once they are ready follow their own way far from undesirable companies or goverments.

Who else still remember the day Google is kick out of China (by Chinese gov rather than user's problem)
When China play dirty things, any of you blamed that? Now Us strikes back than you shout at them.
What is wrong with the world nowadays? Pls note that Huawei can be strong like today is based on Chinese gov support from removing all most competitive in local market.
And GG didn't start this situation. Chinese gov did. It is just take the Western gov too long to have a strike back.

It's hilarious how many people in here think that a company can just create a stable OS overnight. Google has been perfecting it's OS for over a decade and there are still faults.
