I am one of the Jack crusaders. One of the reasons I bought the S10 was the presence of the headphone jack. Now, one month after I bought It, I haven't used it even once. How come?
-I listen a lot to FM radio, which my region's S10 doesn't have. And I need a bluetooth anyway, so I bought Sony SBH54 bluetooth with FM radio.
-I listen to music from my handset-a lot. I love good audio, so I bought Creative Labs Super X-Fi AMP, which connects to the phone via-guess-USB port.
The only scenario that I'm going to use the jack is when outdoors, without the Amp, and wanting to listen to my MP3s. Well, this scenario has yet to happen and even if I hadn't the jack, I could use the bluetooth, since audio quality is not important to me when out.
I still consider the headphone jack top priority, but as far as I'm concerned, I see that I use it less and less.

I still go for Samsung, even if Samsung decides to ditch the 3.5mm port. For me Samsung is the most reliable smartphone brand. I've never had any problems with my Samsung smartphones. They deliver qualitive good and durable devices.

Mobilemaster, 31 May 2019This is starting to be bad...a 3.5 mm headphone jack is sti... moreI don't think it's necessary to cry about losing that 3.5mm jack. We can always enjoy wired music with USB type C headphones or USB type C to 3.5mm convertor if you don't want to listen wirelessly.

Glad I got my Galaxy 10E when I did.
Looks like Samsung is headed down hill fast if this is even remotely true.
Now a Note 10E with stylus, the size of my 10E, and say a 3800mah battery, would interest me quite a bit, but no buttons and no 3.5 jack makes it a no sale for me.
I use my phone for work, and AS A PHONE, not some "media consumption device". I work for a living and my phone is just another tool in my trade.

Operation Blitz, 31 May 2019You dont see what the hassle is about ??? Your obviously no... moreThat's not entirely true. There are a slew of wireless transmitters (FIIO BTRs, ES100) that provide better sound than the samsung DAC.
I used to care a lot about this but it no longer bothers me now that there are great portable solutions that achieve better sound than most phone DACs.
Sure for many they wont want to lug around a DAP or a super small device that clips to their body but hey...

Too bad. One of the few companies who still hooded the headphone jack high. I will surely refrain from any Samsung device without a headphone jack. There are other devices then who can do better and cost less. The headphone jack was the only reason to buy a Galaxy 9 Plus instead of the P20 Pro last year. Let's see what the 11th Galaxy generation will look like.
