I'm a sony fan since the ericsson days but 5K screen is overkill. Sony please make a compact phone with 80% screen to body ratio and make the bezels symmetrical. Also bring back the dual front firing speakers and add your dual selfie cam and sensors in it. We know that xperia's are good in battery management but please give us 4000mAh battery at least.

You guys have to understand that Sony has the best bloatware on a smartphone. Qnovo and other battery software makes Sony phones last just as long as 4000mah batteries at 3x00mah.
Companies like Samsung should learn from Sony. If they want more inspiration from Sony like their cameras, they should copy battery software too.

Hope this answers to some people (confusion and) complains why X1 only has 3840x1644px and wants 2160px as standard like 4K they want, not 1644px. Well, now you have it, but now the height stretches to 5040, which is 5K rather than 4K... Remember, the aspect ratio of 2019 Sony Xperia play the resolution game here.

Not to discourage progress, but this looks like a waste, especially when even 4K screens aren't widespread. How will the battery fare then? Better it comes with gigantic battery capacity. I wonder whether 5000mAh will be enough to power such a phone.

I think there is more hidden plans from Sony for this huge resolution on a mobile phone screen, since you can use it to connect with Playstation... and play remotely... maybe Sony is planning a new VR experience for Playstation with some accessories for this phone... coz you know, PS VR is garbage compared to HTC Vive.
Think about PS5...

My current phone is Motorola. But Sony phones are the best. Even my Z3 which is my dad's daily driver now works fine. Apple has iMac with 5K display but phone with 5K? iPhones will cry so loader.
