Here's why the Galaxy Note10 and Note10+ don't have a headphone jack

07 August 2019
The company anticipated the backlash, and thus had a few reasons at the ready.

After getting my s10+ with the buds i only used the jack twice. Personally i wouldn't miss it that much since BT headphones are good enough to replace the wires at this point. But if i still owned expensive wired buds i would probably be disappointed, unfortunately most of them died because of broken wires.

Wired headphones while connected to the phone and Bluetooth while still wired while you're scribbling. THAT would've been innovation.

aw, 08 Aug 2019There is no such thing as a quality wireless headset though... moreHere's the thing, the Headphone Jack is great for:
                      - audiophiles... that want better quality sound
                      - regular people... that want the easy connection
                      - travellers... that want to carry less things and increase battery life by not using wireless

Come to think of it, Samsung SHOULD have put the 3.5mm headphone jack into the S-Pen.
And the S-Pen could have acted as a 6-hour Bluetooth transmitter. And when you slide the S-Pen into its silo, it should connect to the phone (pogo pins?) to charge the S-Pen, and provide audio directly to the phone without using Bluetooth/Wireless in order to save battery life. I personally have seldom used the S-Pen on my phone when I was also listening to music/videos, so the limitation here isn't at all problematic. And the audio lag is something that will have to be tolerated when going wireless, but won't be an issue when S-Pen is in silo.

I think this is a realistic solution for the Samsung Note11.

TBH im one of those guy who hates when a company removes the headphone jack, but after I bought my first bluetooth headphone, I never look back to my wired headphone or even use the port, so no headphone jack is not really a big deal but a little disappointed to say the least.

Bluetooth 5.1 just started back in January and no mention about sound improvements. I've seen a comparison between ATH-M50X vs ATH-M50XBT (Bluetooth) and the wireless headphones seemed a bit muffled compared to the full volume blast of the wired version (intended for hearing the most miniscule details of every music) like the BT version is 95% while the wired is 100%.

While the future of wireless surpassing the old wired is a long time away, we must continue to fight against the injustice of removing an integral part of a Smartphone, the headphone jack. JerryRigEverything will tear this phone a new crApplehole when he gets the phone. Companies should listen to this messiah.

I don't understand so you can't use an earpiece with the phone but can it function with a bluetooth earpiece? Cos I can't imagine buying a phone I can't use any kind of earpiece with and even bluetooth earpieces come with the negative power draining thingy so it's still a problem for people with unsteady power supply as in third world countries.
