Which evil corporation would you like to share your personal data with ? Huawei or Google?
People I meet are behind Google. But, this comment section says otherwise.

Don't see how it's an issue. Just install what you want after you get the device. My Mate 20 X didn't come with anything Google either...

I can see most resellers not wanting to sell it. I certainly can't imagine the 3 main networks selling it without the ecosystem.

This is perfect news and if the Huawei also evaluate the sitiutaion to turn themselves like make as much as low profit and pefect new android operating sytem then....yes we buy only Huawei...

You're telling me you don't use a single Google or Apple service? That's literally impossible. If you have an Android you need a Gmail to use the Play store and Google Play services is running in the background so they already have more than enough data from you so it's too late. If you use Apple you need an iCloud account which means you're already sucked into their ecosystem. It's IMPOSSIBLE to use either OS without them already having a ton of data on you just by setting up and using your device, even if you don't use all or some of their apps.

You know...with /e/ Foundation making it out of beta, out couldn't hurt to get that onto the new Mate series. It's essentially Android without Google but the services run smooth without the use of Google Play Services. I'm curious about it.

Huawei also launched its latest Kirin 990 chip today, with a built-in 5G modem. This processor will power the new Mate 30 when it’s unveiled later this month, and it’s certainly going to be an interesting launch to watch. Google revealed last month that Huawei’s Mate 30 won’t be able to ship with Google’s apps and services on board, which means the device isn’t certified for Google Play Store access. That leaves Huawei in the position of having to ship the Mate 30 without access to Google’s key apps outside of China. We’ll find out exactly what’s going to happen when Huawei launches the Mate 30 on September 19th.
