It is just a flexible oled shaped this way same way dual edge screen.
The huge price is the fact screen size and being flex oled.
Brands that already use QHD or 4K wont adopt it. It is stupid, fragile and too expensive.
Device that costs almost $3000 , but has 1080p screen, no sd slot, so IP rating, no HDR recording, no stereo speakers and probably usb 2.1 again ..
All this just to say screen uses more than 100% of the surface. Even more useless idea than rear screen of nubia.
It shoud have used rotating camera Oppo brought years ago, now used by asus and samsung

All these chinese companys somehow have got 3 waterfall displays mentioned in the last month or 2.
To people who dont wear cases good luck because when these devices fall and they more fragile then ever and you cant change the volume on the side because of a huge crack then at least you guys will know it was a worthy purchase ;)

This phone is high end and with very thin bezels, except at the bottom to accommodate everything that usually goes on top... like the first Mi Mix.

In short: One was invisible and irrelevant, the other paved the way for current smartphone design.
So just those massive differences between them :-)

And when Mi Mix 1 released, everyone knew that its only copycat from Sharp phone including under display earpiece

Everyone else: it's cool, but how can we use all that screen estate?
Xiaomi: just like any other phone, since it doesn't unfold.
