Even the mid-range 768G has a ~60K performance increase, when compared to the 765G (that's a lot, for mid-range). Then, the 875's increase (with the latest X1 core) should be even greater than the one between the 865 and the 865+. That was the reasoning behind my assumption.

still even if this chip gets more expensive there is no justification to increase price on the flagships that are already heavily overpriced we all know that making a phone dosen't even cost half of what they are usaly charging for .. and stop bs about R&D spending cause there is no R&D spending on recent phones , they are all the same .

Xiaomi phone powered by Snapdragon 875 will cost not more than 1100 dollars. Which is pretty good. But if you add 500 more you can buy a great laptop.

You said you only use small part of RAM or storage in your device, there are devices available with that kind of specs.
Well, the problem is not the availability of phones, you're not prepared to settle for anything less than a flagship. Not low end or mid-range, but a flagship.
                    .
There's nothing wrong with a minimalist approach to living, but also there ain't no such thing as minimalist luxury.
Decide which you want first. If you want premium features on your device, you have to pay premium for it. otherwise there are other devices that might fit your criteria for less amount of money.

For 100W I would pay the price. That it would be like a 20 min break before gaming again lol.
