Xiaomi have a very notorious track record at abandoning their phones that are not successful. I wouldn't buy from this kind of untrustworthy brand.

It's pure economics folks. We all like devices @ reasonable price, but, all investors would desire quick ROI. A4 required investment.

Anonymous, 04 Aug 2020Miui is the best uiLol, MIUI and best? MIUI is filled with bloatware that you can't even unistall or block! And those adds are just irritating. Some of my relatives use Xiaomi devices and believe me, the hardware is good for the price but software is just meh.

Pls fact check before you post news. You're mostly spot on but I read the source in german and the guy updated his post and stated its just his opinion based on market observation. So if xiaomi decides tomorrow to rebrand some phone as the next A4, so be it. In the original post is no comment from the manufacturer whatsoever.
So guys, take this one with a grain of salt!

Had a feeling this would happen, given the long history of bugs on the A3. Fans here will definitely not be pleased by this news.

Still using an A3, I'm content with it. Shame there isn't going to be an A4. Yeah the software updates were a mess though but otherwise a wonderful phone.

I have A2 Lite, good phone for money, but they really messed up software since Android 10. Lot of bugs which I think they will never repair. They promised regular updates but failed to do so. Shame. I used to recommend Xiaomi phones to others, and I have to say all MIUI phones works like charm except Android One series. Moving to Pixel 4A or Nokia....

No wonder this got the chop.
I bought the wife an A3 and there software issues have been horrendous, keep telling her to sell it and get a new one but she can't find a phone she likes

Disappointed with the news.
I've been very satisfied with the phone and the updates, faster and frequent compared to other high end phones.
Was looking forward on the release of MI A4 :(

It's good that news are out. I would switch over to Pixel or Nokia or an iPhone.
5G is not coming so soon to India. So I am not worried about buying a 5G phone.

The article gave an update, it says it is just the authors prediction and nothing is confirmed yet. You guys should revise this article.
