MrDong, 14 Aug 2020Lawsuit is the only option. Let goverment block the website... moreYou can't remove someone's website with a lawsuit genius. And why would government even care?

[deleted post]The Apple haters like to talk too quickly then they go quiet when Android follows Apple. :’D
They are going to be quiet now that Google has followed Apple in this. :D

Anonymous, 14 Aug 2020How do you remove someone's website? I'd like to... moreLawsuit is the only option. Let goverment block the website.

Or ask to pay a commission, the last resort. Remember Netease's Rules of Survival copied Tencent's (or L&Q) PUBG? It violated multiple copyrights (logic is that players are enticed to spend in RoS, which RoS's gameplay seemed to differ in the first place) and was asked to pay in excess of $2 million

Either way Epic is looking to be an Epic Failure with this,Apple and Google don’t need them,Epic needs Apple and Google.

Ooh this is going to be very very interesting. It would definitely create a snowball effect to the app ecosystem as a whole.

You pay premium price to buy a device, but you can't install anything on it, that doesn't pay 30% cut to Apple? So, who owns that device you bought for a premium price?

kammem2, 13 Aug 2020I am with Apple and They should respect Apple store policy.... moreEvery transaction you do with your card has this risk. Why give this as a reason to forcefully go through App Store or remove 30% cut which developers can pass it to the buyers. This is highway robbery. I have been wondering how they all put up with these ridiculous rules....First of all device owners paying USD 2100 etc must realise this. Small time developers I can understand won’t mind going through App Store rout for payments but big companies, corporations don’t need to listen to the homilies of the dictator

Your part $2100 for a phone yet you have no rights to choose to install the App you think it is good for you! Shame in the LoF you have no rights! How is this different from dictator governments they blame?

Doesn't look like Apple and Google are really at fault here. Their stores, their rules. But looking at the bigger picture, if an exception were to be made to allow Epic's own payment system to exist, it spells the risk of other apps pushing for collecting money via their own payment systems.

How much longer until some app abuses this feature? Definitely siding with Apple and Google on this one; Epic's just getting greedy.

I think this is a topic that would be heavily voted on if GSMArena decided to place an opinion poll up !

Its a situation where you have to choose between the lesser of the two evil, and for me the lesser one is Epic (I got tons of free games from Epic Store). Apple is just the worst (can't emphasize enough) out there.

in the end play store and apple store are monopolies. epic games will win.

buy a pc instead of this cra@py fruit company products
.. then play some proper games on it 😂 simple

I wonder why epic games doesn't have a problem with Android?
Other app developers are also upset with Apple App store policies.
Even WeChat getting banned will affect iPhone shipments by 20-25%.
                                        Android market remains untouched.
No wonder Android is the OS of choice on smartphones and head & shoulders above its competitors.
