sq2013, 02 Dec 2020It's not a big deal. Yes in the wrong hands of course ... moreWhen you are so dense that faced with evidences and explanations proving you wrong, you still think you are right, that's a common theme on here...

First, what do you know about what they do with this information ?
Nothing, not that they do nothing, you know nothing about it.
There is a little thing called "Patriot act" which literally say that every consumer electronic device in the USA HAS TO HAVE a backdoor.
                                Lets check my list :
*Government becoming rogue, don't need to be a genius to understand how with the backdoor, simply with mass surveillance, social engineering and group and individual targeting of anyone who disagree.

*Identity thief, Black Mail : Can find the backdoor or pay the smartphone manufacturer to gather those informations.
If you think it never happened, I am not the paranoid, you are the ignorant one, as it have been PROVEN MANY TIMES to occur in HUGE privacy related scandals.
Including Facebook for exemple, who sold private data to their friendly corporate mate who surely had the best intentions of the world with those data, and who used those data to blackmail employee of rival social networks.

I NEVER SAID that peoples are individually targeted, it would already be bad, but the issue is that EVERYONE IS, including peoples outside the monitoring group, like the many times US intels did spy on citizens across the globe.

Do you think Facebook require to make its own phones to gather data about you ? How cute...

What made Julian Assange being caught was his video surveillance equipment used by the operating company to give informations to the USA.
There are MANY corporate secrets, some prototypes not yet patented and other really sensitive data that have leaked because of such thing, which is exactly why phones like this exist, because it isn't about paranoia, it is about something real that have been proven and that you really need to be living under a rock or in total denial to refuse to accept when even the government clearly and officially recognize it.

The pop up camera actually helped discovering that quite many apps and websites did take pictures of the users thanks to it poping up while it shouldn't have.
But maybe the excuse given convinced you, that it someone loaded a code related to camera.
Despite any apps using camera never making the camera poping up when not directly enabled and used, even the camera app who literally is for that sole purpose not poping the camera until you enable the front camera mode.

What is stupid is how you talk about something without knowing ANYTHING about it, you literally assert assessments as if they were a certified truth when in fact you haven taken 5 seconds to verify it, and you are saying things that have been proven false and saying that things aren't real that have been proven a while ago and many times and are officially recognized.

Yes in the wrong hands of course it's dangerous but this information is going to smartphone manufacturers. I think that you're one of those people absorbed in your own import. The point I'm making is that a smartphone manufacturer is making a phone without cameras so paranoid are some people. It's ridiculous. My phone isn't taking pictures of me when I'm unaware. And if you think it isn't that bad yet, wait until neural interface become widely popular.
You just think, no big deal, you just don't get the NeuraLink implant, problem solved.
Which only work until a version not requiring any implant come around and that it start to get used for official things, such as anything related to law, regardless if you did something, or if you were a simple witness to serve as a lie detector.
Then banks will make it mandatory for opening an account or asking for a loan or a credit, and your insurance company will make it mandatory to open an account and to have it work.
And cops will be able to use it, then employers will be able to use it to make sure you don't lie on your resume and that you are really desiring this job.
And if you think that no miss-uses will be done if we keep things that way, you are so wrong.
There will easily be access to your thoughts, to your memory, even your will, imagine how dystopian that not just almost doing a crime can condemn you Minority Report style, but just being likely to do something bad could condemn you.
Then there is implanting memories, it is already done in labs.
