in regards to those apple wins in europe and in ozzy ( i live in australia) both cases got over turned but i do see your point

Apple won in America (with a Korean judge), Australia, and Europe against Samsung, except for South Korea. Samsung TouchWiz UI running on their Galaxy phones is clearly an iOS clone. I have had the original Galaxy S, Galaxy SII, and an iPhone 4S. Hope this will turn the carriers to Windows Phone 8 because current WP7.5 has the best user experience.

Samsung have won the case in South Korea against Apple. Apple won in US. Every country wants their products to win.

Now before i get flamed i just want to say that i am indeed an android fan and have been for a while however i do also like and have owned the iphone 4 and 4s. Now to start i do like the iphone ( not very much but still) however i do not like the company 'apple' though, and its cases like this is why i dont. Apple copy just as much as they think that samsung copy them so i dont think that suing every company that may overtake you is the right way of going about business because as many people have said in the end it is only going to affect us.
Now this is the part im going to get flamed about.
If you look at the way apple has sued samsung around the world and noticed that they have not won anywhere else but in their home country which leads me to believe that they are either 1. Racist (highly unlikely but still possible)
2. MERICA!!!! bias because they have lost all round the world but when it comes to suing on their home ground all of a sudden they have won a large sum and massive patent suits also how many of those jury members do you think own an iphone??
One last thing:
American jury + American Judge + American Company = American win and who would have thought that would happen aye?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Im sorry but i still like android than iOS. And Samsung is one of the best Android manufacturers in this present time. So sad they've lost the battle with Apple. Hopefully this will not limit anything from making the best smartphones and selling S3 or futures Galaxy products....

Samsung might not supply targeted devices to USA but will still sell it to rest of the world. So only American consumer will have effect over this decision. They will have less choice. Samsung will not affect with this as now that devices are obsolete. GS3 is the hot cake now. $1.05 billion is just 1.5% revenue from its earning. US patent and trademark registration system is disgusting. How can they register common stuff to particular company like telephone logo for calling, diary for contact etc. So what do others use for calling 'tree'. Thats really very disappointing. Thanks God I am not residing in USA or neither I pray God to let me live in USA.

hhahha....what a joke....just look at the share of apple and sam....and then ios and android.....there is a ground and sky diff.......sam will not hav any effect.......sam provides apple with retina displys and A5 chips.....
