OLED + HRR(140Hz,280,320) + 1440p/4K = My Dream
Imagine ARM mobile chips with the GPU prowess to drive such a monster it'll revolutionize and revitalize the handheld gaming experience, heck VR would instantly blow up.
Battery tech is not advancing fast enough though and that's a shame :(

ZolaIII, 10 Jan 2021Refresh rate is important as long as you can see it and you... moreIt has zero to do with "seeing". It's all about hand-eye coordination. The less lag, the more natural it feels. This applies to everything we interact with. Our brains instantly notices if something doesn't move or change in the way we expect.

Anonymous, 10 Jan 2021No bother to argue with Apple fanboys period. They will fin... moreI've used high res , hi refresh before, but I still keep with my old 60hz mobile because to me it's just a mobile.
to others it might mean more to them....so I just think a wider choice of device spec would be great, then everyone from the very light user who doesn't care about refresh rate to the power user who cares about what's in their device and the user experience , can all be happy

Kriegsherr, 10 Jan 2021for gamers trueNews flash, interacting with a touch screen smart phone is equal to using gamer experience 24/7. The thing you lie about the iPhone does, works a lot better at 120 Hz.

90 hz is definitely the sweet spot. I've used all three and find 90 the absolute best. It's the perfect comprise between screen improvement and battery

I tend to agree with the smoothness regarding Android but even when working at 90Hz mode the iPhone feels just as snappy.

Andreidinutu, 10 Jan 2021You do realise most games dont support over 60? And those 1... moreMost games don't support more than 16:9 aspect ratio. There are still older games from last gen era, and I couldn't manage to get them to work in 18/18.5:9 aspect ratio. Let alone having 120hz support. Unless there are very new ones, or very popular ones (like pubg mobile). Yes, 120hz is everywhere, not only in games, but what makes me more happy scrolling facebook or browser in 120hz? Does it , somehow, makes you more comfortable?
This 120hz trend feels like the equivalent of RT and DLSS in computer industry. Sure, pretty cool, but is it that important? Is it that revolutionary? It was razer's idea to make a niche "gaming" phone back in 2017 (If I remember correctly?).
