Google started this entire business model of data-harvesting; Facebook "improved" the Google's business model by surreptitiously using covert tracking techniques to track both its users and non-users, whilst the Chinese "enhanced" Facebook's data analytics through the use of spyware.
They are all flocking bar stewards.

Lucky you, I wish I had followed your ownership of OnePlus phones. Like you, I'm also on my 7th phone, but from Apple. All of my iPhones either have failed to work after about 13 months or had given problems to the extent my iPhones were just too troublesome to use daily. I kept getting rebuffed by Apple saying either saying I caused the problems or that such problems do not exist. My current iPhone 11 Pro also has problems such as the washed out display with a green hue that flashes back to normal after about four seconds upon unlocking.
I've had enough with Apple's arrogance and their iPhones - plagued with problems. I now gonna jump ship to Android and am seriously contemplating getting the OnePlus 8 Pro (last year's flagship with a 25% discount) or the soon-to-be-released OnePlus 9 Pro.
Which should I get ? 1+8 Pro or 1+9 Pro ?

If you live in mainland China you're better just buying Oppo's Find X3 pro same phone with 1+ 9pro different jackets. Atleast Oxygen OS was the identity of OnePlus they should also come out & introduce ads in the UI like Xiaomi too. Looks like it's the Chinese smartphone business model; ads, spyware, data sells etc they profit when they sell it to you & after buying the phone.

The hype was great until now. Oneplus you have lost your identity. First it was the Oxygen OS looking similar to Samsung one ui now you have gone full blown with Oppos color OS sh#t nomore custom ROMS . My next phone might as well be a pixel phone for easy bootloader unlocking. It's unfortunate that the CCP has forced you to go with their spyware
