Hear me out you phone designer freaks in your white castles..come down to the ground.

The average guy in Africa or India or wherever is never bothered about OS updates or stock android or even quality of software (often over-rated..porate the good.ones) or cutting-edge technology, or material (aluminum !?).
When we buy phones we look for Price, large battery, one good camera, lots of memory, average processor to play average games, and good build quality.

It's so funny to see people are concerned with only high specs here when they know that the UI on the Chinese phones are one of the crappiest in the whole world with load of ads, stuttering and unwanted apps running in the background. There are so many comments asking people what to buy and not to buy.
But the commitment of OS upgrades and monthly security updates are not followed by any companies. My other loved brand Samsung also does not provide monthly security updates. But I trust Nokia and Samsung than any Chinese s**t and I'll always buy and use only them.

I do not use Nokia since 2006 but still have sweet memory with Nokia. I suggest to Nokia: please bring back your design ability to the phone so it will be different with others.

sq2013, 08 Apr 2021I don't see any issues with this. They're pricing... moreYou have way better options in these price range. Take Like Redmi note 10 4G Version with SD678 and FHD+ AMOLED screen or 10-20 more and Note 10 5G with 90hz LCD screen. Both are under 200 euro and both are light years more better in every way. And this 3 years updates is nothing. I rather have great hardware that last me 3 years then have updates for hardware that is already 3 years plus old

HMD global used to make amazing phones, like the 7 plus or the 8.1.
This new set of phones is both a disgrace and an insult to anyone that even remotely had an interest in their clean OS phones... Yikes.

[deleted post]Exactly, a class action lawsuit over an 80 euros phone. Like, on what basis, it will be judged on whether it sells or not. You can't sue a company that sells products you think aren't good enough. It's madness. Just don't buy it.

Mmeco, 08 Apr 2021Why not at least make C series compact, say 5.5". Perhaps to appear more than what they really are. They are not worth any for the price they ask. Also once HMD stops updating them there will be no future for them other than having very slow and bad hardware. They don't have even full Android only Android Go running on slow Unisonic SoC and 1Gb of RAM.

Before buying a C20 or C10 it is better to buy a Xiaomi Redmi 9. There is no comparison. It has three times better hardware and capacity in both memory and processing power. Better in everything, cameras, display, etc. All better. It costs 84 euros today. And above is unlockable something that Nokia does not allow. Which means that in the future you will be able to install custom Android ROMs. I'm sure there will be up to Android 14 custom Roms for the Xiaomi Redmi 9.

Not even the G20 - G10 are attractive when you can buy a Redmi Note 10 or a Poco X3 NFC for the same price. Better hardware, better cameras to equally better support both from Xiaomi and in the future from the developer community as these are popular phones that many more people own and buy.

Waaba, 08 Apr 2021Dear lord... CLASS-ACTION LAWSUIT because a company dared t... morePeople on here take phones way too seriously lol. They act offended when companies release devices like this as though a smartphone launch personally attacked them in their own home. Like, a class action lawsuit? Lol really? I swear, Gsmarena commentors have less brain cells than the average consumer sometimes.

Alex 94, 08 Apr 2021C series are og for basic use and have great price. But G i... moreThe prices for the C20 and C10 aren't also that good. All is relative. Those phones come with crap specifications, Unisonic SoC, 1G RAM 16Gb/32Gb Rom, microUSB, 5W charge and crappy 5Mp cameras. 90 euros for the C20? only 3G for the C10 and asking 75 euros?

Why that poor people doesn't deserve get a good value for the money phones too? If fact that people need the best phones that their little money that has cost them so much to earn can buy.

A good phone in value for money in the price range of C20 and C10 is the Xiaomi Redmi 9:

                          https://www.gsmarena.com/xiaomi_redmi_9-10233.php

84 euros today. 6.53 inches with 1080 x 2340 pixels IPS LCD display, Mediatek Helio G80 (12 nm), 32GB ROM 3GB RAM (the 84 euros version) although you can find variants upto 128GB 6GB RAM eMMC 5.1. Li-Po 5020 mAh battery with fast charging 18W, audio jack, FM radio, microSDXC, Bluetooth 5.0, A2DP, LE. And obviously better cameras too:
                          13 MP, f/2.2, 28mm (wide), 1/3.1", 1.12µm, PDAF
                          8 MP, f/2.2, 118˚ (ultrawide), 1/4.0", 1.12µm
                          5 MP, f/2.4, (macro)
                          2 MP, f/2.4, (depth)

All that for 84 euros today. And the Redmi offers also updates as i already has experimented with two of their phones. Not as often as my flagship but enough. And add two BIG advantages in software over this crappy C20 and C10 phones from HMD in my eyes:

First: you have full Android with Redmi 9 over the capped Android Go of the C20 and C10 and the other one is about the software.
Second: Redmi 9 is a popular phone with unlockable bootloader, something that Nokia doesn't let you officially. Which means that in the future you'll be able to update your Redmi 9 with a custom "Android 14" Rom for sure. Something that will no but possible with the Unisonic HMD C20 and 10 phones... So even in updates and future proof sofware the Redmi 9 is a lot better inversion of poor people to keep it even a decade and still have a good and smoth experience with it after all that time.

So the price is no all. What matters is the value of what you get for that price despite the money you are spending.
