Looking at these three you get the feeling that Sony is ignoring market trends and is content to do its own thing - would you be part of it?

They pushing the obviously false n... moreTheir point is Sony is doing something different, something too specialize while not offering the more attractive and obvious upgrades such as the sensor size, brighter screen, larger battery etc. Their instead focusing on features that only a small minority like yourselves would find useful. And then their using all these less significant unique features to justify a price tag equivalent to a Xiao Mi Ultra and a Samsung S21 Ultra, both of which offers the above mentioned features. So GSM wants to know if there's still at least a small handful of consumers which would still be willing to shell out the cash, knowing that for the same amount of money, you could be getting another product which is in fact a more full featured device.

      I can't wait to trade my S21 Ultra for the X1 iii later this year!

        Great that it's got a headphone jack and micro SD but they're both way too expensive and they are so far behind the competition in terms of the cameras which is ridiculous as they are one of the best sensor makers

          This is false statement.

          1 Mark II cost € 1,200 on release, that is €100 higher than Mark III from russia leak, so I dont really get the arenas mathematics or logics here.

            Just like the vast majority of android "flagship" devices these ones are also way too expensive.

            Besides that: they are way too big. Why not something sized like the Google Pixel 5 but without a notch/punch hole?

              Price is very High

                It is not only about the price...it's the release date the biggest question.

                Sony distribution is so limited.

                      Article is a bit misleading. There's no price for any of the phones yet so how you gonna hold a poll? We don't all live in russia or China so... Did I miss the price reveal in america or europe? Anyways I don't think the mark 3 will be priced way higher than the mark 2.

                          Another pole which probably had too many fans stacking it to give a good idea.

                            ASUS ROG 5 is a better package. I'll stick with that

                                  Money per unit sold.
                                  Single $1200 phone brings more money than selling many $200 phones.

                                    Also, I agree with you that they should give 18:9 a try again. XZ2 was beatiful, but the lack of 3.5mm jack killed it.

                                      Never been interested in having a 4K screen on a smartphone in the first place because I care a lot about battery life, so the 1 Mk3 is out of the list. I do welcome the 10 Mk3's SD 690 chipset upgrade, but the 5G network is still not a thing in here Malaysia so I'd just stay with last year's 10 Mk2. It's the 5 Mk3 that really got my utmost attention because of the new periscope telephoto camera and also the new SD 888 chipset (which is also present in the 1 Mk3). But considering that the SD 888 chipset hasn't really fair well much in terms of heat dissipation, I'll wait for the full review to come in before I made my decision about buying the 5 Mk3.
