For example, if you decided to charge $10 for people to hear your thoughts, maybe there are 10 relatives that will pay to prevent you from embarrassing yourself. When you want to charge $20, I'm sure the figure will drop drastically

Since the only obvious win feature that Sony have over the other brands is the Headphone Jack and Micro SD slot, it is no where worth their asking price.
End of the day, its a win-win for both the General Consumer Market and the Fans:
1. Sony fans are happy supporting and idolizing their no.1 brand, by funding iterations of their mobile experiments through thick and thin, worthless or not.
2. The general consumers who vote with their brains and not brand loyalty will be left to benefit once Sony gets an iteration of their phone on the same level as the future successors of Mi 11 Ultra and Samsung S21 Ultra.
I hope the fans continues supporting Sony through their failures, otherwise we won't be able to see the more flushed out product in the future, if Sony succeeds.

Both Xiaomi and Samsung are currently fighting for the no.1 spot in the absence of Huawei.

It's all internal fights between camera divisions, which is why camera quality is so bad compared to other flagships. No unity in the company, no marketing, poor availability across the world and a host of other problems plaguing the company.

My personal experience with Sony has always been bad, they are always behind other brands in every area, their batteries are cheap quality, within six months, the OS was asking me to insert new battery.
If this wasn't bad enough, you just can't overlook other things.
There is no guarantee the Sony mobile division would stay in one piece. It's all internal fights between camera divisions, which is why camera quality is so bad compared to other flagships. No unity in the company, no marketing, poor availability across the world and a host of other problems plaguing the company.
