    The 4k resolution display doesn't even run at 4k most of the times to conserve battery.

        i miss there being a great sony phone, aside from nokia they were always my preferred choice. now though they use weak cmos' (even though they make 48mp+), waaay to widescreen and no more 3.5mm. also no more less than 150mm tall.

          Besides your XZ3 had 2k display, not 4k display.

            5g isn't available everywhere.
            Most people would rather stream a fast, stable, lag free 1080p Netflix/Disney/Amazon Prime experience on their smartphones over 4k streaming which will be choppy and a total battery disaster,not to forget the data consumed while streaming such a huge file.

            4k streaming is good on your TV as it actually enhances and improves the viewing experience with a big screen. WiFi is much faster and cheaper as well.

When im 19 at 2013 i did online research and find that Xiaomi is really trustworthy company so i did comparison between Xiaomi Mi 3 and other popular companies like Samsung, Sony, etc and i was shocked how Xiaomi Mi 3 beats the hell out of other brands in terms of specs/price ratio. Sony gave their best shot advertise their phones on TV, store, etc but failed after more and more people did online research and realized there are better affordable option from other brands like Xiaomi..Pricing matters above all else..marketing? Nah not matter that much..

                          Currently I own a Xperia 10 II and even after updating to Android 11, still is very fast and battery last very well, and Sony is always updating with security patches and almos Android One experience.

                              They only trust Chinese brands these days apart from Samsung and Apple and a few Taiwanese brands like Asus.

                                  Cheap lower quality batteries used with lower amount of cycles, weak fast charging. Just a giant outdated mess.

Their phones usually last the longest. Samsung, however, doesn't care about phone longevity at all, their battery degrades quickly in a matter of months.
